Chapter 12 - time to go sadly home

So. . .ever fill out a room service request incorrectly? I have. LOL.

I should have taken a picture but didn't think of it. I thought I ordered 7 eggs (maddie 2/me 2/John 3). . .nope, Jojit showed up with 7 egg breakfast plates. Ugh. So we had lots, and lots of food this morning.

We ate up. . .checked the room one more time. . .said good bye to our wonderful suite. . .and then went to the Stardust theater to meet our tour group.

When we exited the ship we went through customs pretty quickly. Much less eventful than in Seattle. The girls were funny as they were practicing saying the year they were born as we got off the ship - in hopes of not being scared like they were in Seattle.

We then boarded a bus and off we went. Our tour guide was an entertaining man. . . he pointed out sights along the way. Once at the everglades we were loaded on airboat - and off we went.

LOL Well, if you need to push him towards WDW in 2013 you can always throw in a trip to the Bubba Gumps @ Universal CityWalk. ;)

Well, you know that the girls will love the kids clubs on the Magic. Everything I had heard about kids never wanting to leave the clubs sure held true for the boys so I don't know what they do in there but the kids sure do love it.I had the problem of not getting to see the boys enough-esp. Adam. We hardly ever saw him and MADE him go to dinner with us just so we saw him once a day. LOL

Removing my question b/c I looked at your ticker and got my answer. ;)

Ooooh, I'm excited to hear about the Nick stuff. I bet that makes it a more kid friendly ship. :)

A different itinerary makes sense when you are going to the same place. Gives you something different to explore and look forward to. :)

Awww, I'm sad it's over. I love the alligator pics! all of them!

OK, I admit, I LOL's about the 7 egg meals:)

Your vacation sounds so wonderful. I do like how you talk about the CM's on the Pearl. They all sound so friendly and just downright nice. Not fakey. When it comes down to it, pretty much everyone is working for a paycheck, but these people sound like they are there for more than just the money- they really like what they do. That's awesome. Maybe someday...

So, what was your favorite part of the whole trip? I know you said the girls liked the dolphins but what did you like the best? John?

Oh, and vacations ARE about the food. That's all part of it! That is one thing I am worried about on our Europe trip- I've heard the food is less than desirable as it is all cheap and not authentic for the area. Makes me sad. But I guess that will just have to be one trip that ISN'T about the food.

Well, I am disappointed about the prospect of not having real, authentic good food. But from what I hear, they take you to a restaurant and you don't have a choice in what you are served and from some of the accounts, the food is sub-par and I believe it too because the trip I have for Feb to Rome, in the fine print is says that the food has been "upgraded". So if you didn't happen to notice that little blurb and thought that was what you were going to get on your trip, you'd be sadly disappointed. I have already told the girls to bring a lot of snacks in their big suitcases, so that if they didn't like the food, they could have a snack. I'm not going to let it ruin the trip, but it is disappointing.

The dolphin thing looked absolutely wonderful. I think it would be so hard to pick one thing and I can see why you answered as you did- you're a good mommy. I think all of us really look forward to that part the best.
