Day 5-Part B Duck Riding??

So we had pulled back into port and were let off the harbor cruise right at the straw market which was mildly annoying. There were women who walked up and put necklaces on all of us telling us they can't charge us but asking for donations "for the children". Well, I gave her a five and let Robbie keep his and told her to take them off the rest of us. She wanted $5 per necklace-NOPE. It was annoying. We walked through the Straw Market (which would more aptly be named the plastic market since they all had those plastic party tent things from WalMart set up) and we looked at stuff but didn't buy anything. We had to go through the "welcome center"-i.e.-another market area-to get back to the ships and I did like it better in there than the straw market outside but neither were really my cup of tea.

Sounds wonderful and I LOVE the pic of you and Tara with Daisy. So cute! I'd love to see all those shows. When we go to Disney this time I AM going to make it to Lion King. I am scheming to make it happen. If my kids don't want to go then they can go do something with Brian but I want to see that show.

Well the first time around Hannah was anti-show. We only made it to the VoLM at DHS. But since then, Hannah has become anti-ride (which I am hoping changes when we are at Disney) so I am thinking she might be a bit more willing to sit through the shows if she isn't riding rides. We'll see. I want to see FOLK first and foremost and then I'd love to see either B&B, Fantasmic or Nemo. I just don't know if I am willing to sit and wait for over an hour for Fantasmic. :(

Robbie, Adam and David all LOVED the Aqua Duck. David and Robbie went on it like three times that afternoon. It was a hit. :)

Chris- FOTLK is my all time favorite show in WDW-as far as sit down in the theater shows. I love Fantasmic too but that is more an end of the night show. Too bad you can't get the Fantasmic package for the day you are in DHS- we loved that. :)

I'll have to remember that about the markets, whenever someone approaches us I'll just head them off immediately.

In peace,

That first pic (I thought I had attached two???) were from the "Welcome Center" in Nassau. Basically that is your entrance into and exit out of Nassau. To head back to the ship you have to go through that building and show your cruise KTTW and ID (don't forget to bring your picture id when you leave the ship) to be allowed into the port area. They were very stringent about checking and they made sure that the id was you (children don't have to worry about the picture id's-only 18 & up).

The ONLY time we met them with no crowds-at least in the atrium-was when the ship was in port in Nassau. Other than that the lines were as long as WDW-sometimes longer. That is one thing I wish was better-I would have liked to have met with some more of the characters.

The very best thing was the random meetings. I have some more of those to share and they were the best. It was awesome to turn a corner and bump into a character and have your own personal little interaction with them. :)
