Day 6- Land Ho! I Spy an Island!

Well, I don't know why but I was up early this morning while everyone else slept. I loved that porthole b/c we had a chair next to it and I was usually up before anyone else and I'd sit in that chair and watch out the porthole until everyone else started to stir. This morning it was early-right at daybreak, and I sat and was hoping to see some dolphins, especially because I could feel that we were at a very slow crawl. I took some pictures of the sunrise.

I'm not really a beach person, but looking at your pics - CC really looks like a lot of fun.

I am not really a beach person either so Castaway Cay is not my happy spot but I can very safely say that it IS David's happy spot. I have a ton of pics he took snorkelling that we are trying to figure out how to get in digital form-we may have to scan them. Walgreens was supposed to give us access to them digitally when we got them developed but I don't know what happened with that-David was fighting that battle and I don't know where it stands except that I have no digital pics from the snorkelling. I will share them when I get them b/c it was a really cool experience that David liked enough that he wants to buy his own snorkelling equipement and underwater digital camera-"for next time". LOL I can also pretty safely say that we will go on another cruise b/c the guy LOVED snorkelling.

Golf was fun. Very fun. :)

Pirate night is up next.

We knew nothing about a storm except we could tell there was one out there b/c the wind was wicked. I guess it was a bad storm-from what we have been told. LOL

In 2008 my parent rented a place on the beach on Galveston- and in 2010 John and I took the girls to Galveston for

By the way Deb-in that picture of Robbie at lunch you can see the band for the kids club. It is kind of bulky. I DO wish they would come up with something else but at least I knew that he was safe. The blue band was for the aquaduck-it showed he wasn't tall enough to ride alone.

That kids club band does look bulky.

It's meant to be on 24/7 and Robbie had it on 24/7 but I have heard of people who cut it off every night and go get a new band in the morning. It's $50 for each of those if you loose them so I just kept it on him.

You have to be 54" to ride alone. Robbie was 53". Bummer. Next time he will be tall enough to ride alone. :)

Did the band bother Robbie at all?

He said it didn't bother him during the day but he wishes he could have taken it off at night. I think next time I will just cut it off at night and let him sleep without it and reattatch it in the morning when he hits the kids club. I don't think I would put it on his ankle b/c you have to scan it every time they enter or leave the kids club so you'd have to pick them up or have them hike thier legs up to about shoulder level-maybe a bit lower-every time they go in or out. The wrist seems easier.

I bet they will be there by the time they go. :) It would be fun for them to ride together. Of course, if you or John go-they will go much faster. ;)
