So David and I wandered around the ship and there is just soooo much to see you can't really see it all so taking time to wander is a good thing. Plus the ship is so beautiful it's just relaxing to walk around and see what you can see. This is what I saw...

Sounds like you and David are a match.

We didn't really have access to weather-we had CNN but they don't do too much weather so we didnt realize there was this system out there. The only way we knew was seeing that storm roll in on CC and then the wind and the increased rocking on the ship that night. We were rocked to sleep that night. I can't say I disliked the feeling either-none of us did. I think we were meant to be at sea.

Well, with that storm-this was more than the normal rocking motion we felt. It was falling over when you stood up motion. It was that storm that hit in the evening-starting with all that wind. That was really rocking our ship-and she is a large ship! People started really feeling it later that evening. You almost felt drunk b/c you'd go to walk and you'd bounce off the walls. LOL Oh well, it didn't bother us. :)

The Magic really appeals to me b/c of it being so much closer. The Breeze really appeals to David as it's brand new. I think it would be nice to not have to drive three days to Miami though. ;)

I also looked at the RCCL Mariner of the Seas out of Galveston and man, I like that ship too. Seems almost like a combination of CCL and DCL-only their kids club look a little less than exciting. But on the other hand they had Johnny Rockets, a rock climbing wall, and the flowrider. :)

Now I need to thoroughly investigate New Orleans as that port is about the same distance as Galveston-about a 1/2 hour to an hour closer even. Plus, if we went through New Orleans David has a ton of family down in that area we could stay with before we sailed. :)

I don't know if anyone is sailing out of Mobile anymore are they? That would be one I would look at but I think Galveston can hold the biggest ships and to David-that is of great importance. LOL

The thing about Mobile though is I think it will only accomodate the smaller ships. I'm not sure about that but I am thinking that is the case.

Right now, besides Disney, CCL Magic is my cruise of choice. Just can't beat being within a days drive-not two or three. Less on gas and less days to miss school and work. No airfare is a biggie right now with the high cost. It's not feasible for us to fly anywhere right now so Galveston or New Orleans are the ports I have been looking at and with the CCL Magic going to Galveston-you just can't beat that. :)

Maybe the Mariner doesn't have one? I thought it did-I was looking yesterday. I think David would like the decor of the Mariner over the Magic but I think the Magic offers more. :)

The ship really is beautiful, I guess it does feel overwhelming; I'm kinda glad I have a 7-night for my first cruise.

In peace,
Max
