Homeward Bound - the Final Chapter

Not much to type here. .. just the ending.

Our ADRs for breakfast were for 7:30 am. John and I both woke early. We let the girls sleep as we got the car ready to go & the golf cart hooked up. It was about 5:30 am. We talked and decided to skip breakfast here - and grab something later. So we got the girls into clothes & loaded into the car. Another check through of the cabin and we were on our way.

Thankfully both girls fell asleep quickly as we always. . .always. . .always get lost trying to find our way out of WDW. We write down the names of the streets we turn on getting there - but when leaving the streets are not marked with their actual names - but rather what they head toward. John pulled out his handy dandy Iphone and once again proclaimed it his best purchase of the year - and got us out of there. :)

We had 600 miles to make today - to get to Gulfport, MS. :) The girls eventually woke and played with their magnetic dolls/ coloring books

Maddie wanted to share a picture of this sign - she thought it was marvelous. . . Photobucket

We made it to Gulfport in time for dinner - and made an early night of it.

The next morning John woke up at 1:30. . .he woke me up at 2:00 am. He wanted to get home early - we had 400 miles to go today. So we both showered, then he loaded the car up & I checked us out.

It does sound like a very nice trip. You got to do a lot of things that you either hadn't done before or the girls didn't enjoy last time, so that is great! Especially Philharmagic! I wish we had been able to do that more than once. Getting sick is never fun on vacation and at Disney, well that's just not fair! Even with that, it still sounds like a really fun vacation.

I know it wasn't you favorite trip but I think it was great in that the girls overcame alot of the fears from previous trips and you were able to do alot more.

I asked the girls when we got home what their favorite park was - of course MK came in first.

You know Tawnya - doing trip reports is a nice thing, it helps you relive it from a different perspective.

That's pretty cool, Deb. Hannah is to the age where she is really into traditions and talks about "we have to do this...it's our tradition" and you have a nice Disney tradition! Very cool.

I'm sure we do, but where we live is pretty flat. One of the parks has a snow ramp and we took the kids sledding there (you can use tubes or sleds, etc). There is a skiiing place in the next state over and it's only about a hour away, so maybe some day we'll go there but not in the near future. I am in no way good enough shape to do that. I do think the kids would like it though.

Why don't you load them up and drive up the Gaylord Texan and let them play in SNOW! You can slide on the snow slides and play in the snow. I saw that someone built a fort at one of them so I am guessing that there would be enough snow to build
