The wake up call came at 7 am. We were up and getting ready. We had breakfast in the hotel and I was interested to see what we would have. It was actually much better than what we will probably get when we go next year. Nutella is a big thing there. They call it "Nocciiolino" . We had scrambled eggs, juice, fruit cocktail, nocciololino with tiny toasts, this fruit tart thing and they also had chocolate croissants. YUM! After breakfast, we all got into the bus and headed toward the colloseum. I was pretty excited to see the REAL Colloseum. It was created in the first century! How crazy to think of chariot races and gladiators and Jesus walking the earth during that time and I was about to see it with my own eyes.

I like the Gladiators. I'd get my pic taken with them. I do love how he is watching that woman walk away. I see he enjoys his job. ;)

That is pretty cool. You are making me want to go to Rome. :)

Wow, it is incredible to be able to walk that ground - knowing what history it holds.

That woman is Malena. She was an Italian woman who works for EF in Switzerland. She is VERY stylish. I couldn't believe how those Italian women walk on those cobblestones with high heels. No way. I'd be dead of a broken neck.

I agree, Deb. It was so cool. It felt very, very surreal.
