I'm sorry your DD chose to leave too - but it sounds like you may wind up having a nicer time this way.

Aw Deb, but it's so hard. A few days ago she started sayig she was Disney-d out, and that's what she said again the other night when she came to talk to us ... but I think part of her was only saying that to seem sympathetic with BFFHS -- why? Because yesterday morning when I mentioned her going on The Great Movie Ride with me, she rolled her eyes and said it was a lame ride (even though it previously was one of her favorites) ... and then when we were on it, she was as enthusiastic as ever even though BFFHS (who was sitting beside her) was almost stone-faced, and she was trying to point out different details to BFFHS. So I will be happy that at Universal she can let out her inner child and not have to buffer herself out of potential embarrassment.

That would be hard to see her pretending not to have a good time. But she will be back and like you said, she'll really be able to let go and have some fun. I bet your Universal trip will be great!

I remember being 18, it's sometimes not easy to let out the inner child in yourself during the teen years, it takes a level of maturity to let yourself have that much fun :). I'm really looking forward to those two days. Mark's aunt and uncle are supposed to come spend a few days with us when we're in that timeshare (since we've lucked out with a 3-bedroom suite lol), and dh was saying that if Dani's visit doesn't coincide with any days of their visit, he might splurge on a ticket and join us.

Now I'm starting my Universal research. I wonder if their Meal Deal is worth it, since I don't think it includes any of the restaurants in TWWOHP and I KNOW we will want to sample wizardly fare.

From what I have seen their Meal Deal isn't worth it. You are restricted on where you can eat-only a few CS restaurants and none of the TS restaurants. I want to try Mythos when I go and possibly the Three Broomsticks and neither of those are on the plan.

I didn't really want to take the time for table-service, we only have 2-day tix. Maybe we'll do the meal deal one day and T3B the other day. Do you know, is T3B table-svc.?

From what I understand it is an odd combination of CS and TS. It is treated as a TS meal but you go to the counter and order you meal like a CS.

That sounds odd, I guess I'm going to have to make some phone calls ... and now that I might be ablet to fit in the 3 rides' seats, I find out that they are ALL thrill rides and not good for people with back problems :( TSK.

Sounds like you got to do a lot of really fun things before they left. Sorry to hear it didn't go quite as planned.
