The local Santa Claus Parade is over and people are putting up trees, lights and decoration.  I've always felt that December 1st is a good time to start.  How do you feel about putting up decoation already?  I don't mind the lights, but it's the reindeer and santas that I'd don't want to see up yet Surprised

Urgh, Elaine, that doesn't sound like a nice place to work when it's too hot. We're supposed to be down to -16C tonight and it won't get too much warmer during the day tomorrow. But on Sunday and Monday we're back up to almost +10 C ...

When I was little we always had a tree cut down from the farm, but as I mentioned earlier, we had to wait until just a few days before Christmas because of the heat.  And speaking of heat, the warm weather is really upon us now, it was 33C/91F today and we are expecting 36C/97F tomorrow.  Other places further north from us had 45C/113F today!  And the air conditioning at work wasn't working properly today either, something to do with a power failure during the night.

Elaine, here they couldn't wait for Halloween to be over :( Decorations went up before Halloween - it used to be the day after. We'll be putting up our decorations this weekend and get the tree the following weekend. We cut it on our own land and DH always goes out with the kids. I've sort of made that a tradition to include him in the whole Christmas thing.

We usually decorate at home around 1st December.  Our tree goes up then too, we have an artificial tree, I really do like the real ones but they don't last very long in the heat here, so we would have to leave it until just a few days before Christmas. Our local shopping malls were decorated in late October!
