I found this article on cleaning charts, and I think I'm going to try it:

That looks nice and simple. Normally once a year I frustrated and look online and come up with this elaborate cleaning system and by the time I get it all set up I've lost the motivation to use it. I need something, my do what I feel like each day is not working!

I found a free app that is meant for a student class schedule but I used it to create a cleaning schedule. I took the things I need to do every week and put them in the schedule. I used it for two weeks and haven't looked at it in probably a week and a half. I suck at sticking to schedules! The only things I kept up with were running on M W F and cleaning the kitchen every day after lunch. My problem is that I get thrown off easily and have a hard time getting back on track.

Manda- I'm the same way, one I get off the schedule for a day I sort of give up on it.

I do something similar, although it's not on a chart.

I love the don't collect chores! I think that has been my biggest issue with charts, something comes up one day and I get overwhelmed trying to catch up. I really need to print one out. I tend to look at what needs to be done and put it on the list for the day and some days everything needs to be done which is also overwhelming.

I kinda use one. I have the house divided up into 5 chunks, and Monday I do one, Tuesday the next, what have you. I took an hour and made a chart of what needs to be done in each room each day. Then I have a separate 'nightly' chart, which is unfortunately suffering because I have a new baby... The bottles lined up on the counter make me not care about the rest of the kitchen, and the nightly list is very kitchen-centric as I cook nightly.
I do need to do a monthly/bi monthly/every six months list though.
