My twin Boys were born Juky 3rd and I just love themso much. Inever knew taking care of them would be so overwhelming. My family live inNY and I live 3 hrs away with my husband. I am staying home for the first year with th eboys but i do not have any hel[p. I am doing it all by myself and I feel so overwhelmed and sometimes I find myself questioning whether I made a mistake. My husband works long hours and is not very helpful. he still goes to his bowlin gleague and make s time for his friends but when I want to do something he makes it seem like its too much for him to be with both of them. I dont really have much help in ny either but I just dont know what to do and I am losing my patience and just feeling like I can explode at any minute and no one cares.

HUGE ((HUGS)) to you! Congrats on your twin boys! I know that newborns can be exhausting and overwhelming and you have every right to feel the way you do. I'm sorry that your dh doesn't "get it"....many of them don't. I think you need to sit down with him and have a serious talk....letting him know that you need a break every now and then. It is healthier for you and for the babies. I am quite sure you didn't make a mistake....those boys need their momma right now and they will get easier as they start to get older. The first few months are truly exhausting. Once they are in a more settled routine, you will have a chance for more down time. I think your dh needs an assignment....for example, he is in charge of bathtime every night. He could also be in charge of playing with them and caring for them for an hour or so for you to just go for a walk or go catch a cup of coffee by yourself. Not having the responsibility of the babies for even just short periods of time would help you refresh yourself. I hope that you and your dh can work something out so that you can fully enjoy your time home with them. Stop by here anytime, just to vent, to ask more questions, etc. We're here for you!!!
