Wow, I hadn't seen anything on the new wii. Not sure we'll upgrade right away but I do love that Nintendo makes more kid games. How did the Pixar Kinect game party work out? Does your Kinect "see" Lucy ok? Ours has trouble with Luke and JT it thinks is crouching all the time which is a bummer for the Disney game we got.

Well, we have the Xbox 360 with Kinect, but we don't have many games for it.

Sounds like a common problem then. I told the kids no Game Cube games and I'm hoping that will help. Good to know the price of the repair has come down, we did ours 2-3 years ago and it was pretty expensive to send it in.

That's how our problem started. It was after we started playing Game Cube games in the Wii. It stopped reading all discs after that. Now, we're getting the same "disc cannot be read" error all the time. It's just irritating.

Ugh that stinks! We had to send ours in a few years back but it has been fine since. It isn't reading game cube games right now which is how the issue started last time so fingers crossed it will hang in there. The kids have the 3DS and iTouch that are big into right now so Luke is the only one who really plays the wii. I'd be considering a new one too if it kept having the same problem.
