2 years old and already picky eater!

Sometimes I get a bit frustrated when I make these nice dinners and my 2 year old Noah eats two bites and pushes the plate away. Refuses to eat anymore even though I know he is still hungry. He is a picky eater. Texture is big for him. If its the least bit mushy, he won't eat. Today the rice I made had a can of cream of mushroom soup added to it was a bit mushier and he wouldn't eat it or anything that touched it.
Its frustrating!
Sometimes you just want to just eat something else then chicken nuggets, noodles or bread!
Anyone else? How did/do you handle it? Any recipes that you recommend?

Here are some articles that might help...

Personally I never allowed my kids to be picky. I know it is hard with a two year old but if they did not eat what I made well then they did not eat. Now there were times when I could tell that the food was just not to their taste and I would make them a sandwich or soup. But I never replaced a meal with something like nuggets or fries because what kid wouldn't eat those in place of a hot meal?
I am glad I stuck to my guns on this because I now have very adventurous eaters. My kids order salads from Mcdonalds instead of the usual hambuergers and nuggets. It is also nice to take them to restruants to try Sushi and other foods from different cultures. They always at least try a bite of something.

PS - thank for the link
Josee,
Since he is small, then those are special circumstances of course. Here is another link that might intrest you. This is the lifestyle my family follows. I understand that for most people this type of eating is very different but it has some lists of very nutrient dense foods on here and if there is even one thing you find on there that he likes it could help improve his diet.
Good luck, I hope you find something that works!
