My four year old has this nagging caugh, not an alarming junky, but just those (got a tickle in your throat) and nothing seams to work. We tried med. we tried real honey, I even gave him a breathing treatment, and the poor guy still could hardly sleep last night. He's up this morning right back at it. Anyone have a good trick to help littleones with this nagging caugh?

Thanks

My dd went through this a while ago. She has seasonal allergies and I wasn't sure if she had a cold or if her allergies were bothering her.

I'm a medical transcriptionist and my docs seemed to mention Dimetapp Cold & Allergy a lot for their patients that have coughing, etc.

I had been trying everything for over a month and was just about to take her in to the doc when it hit me that I should try the Dimetapp. (She didn't really have any other symptoms, so it wasn't anything that I would have rushed her in for.)

Anyway, I tried the Dimetapp Cold & Allergy and it worked great. She hasn't had a return of the coughing since then.

I've actually been using the Dimetapp rather than the Zyrtec she is on becuase the Zyrtec just knocks her out (if I give it to her at night I can't get her to wake up very well the next morning) and I have a hard time seeing her so drowsy every day. I just give the Dimetapp on an as needed basis.

Hope this helps you (and him) in some way.

Sue
