My oldest wakes up sometimes and he just does not seem all there.
He will start crying, get out of bed and come to us and we ask what is wrong and he doesnt know. We talk to him and I can tell he is not all there. He can walk and talk like he is awake.
He will go back to bed and then a hour later do the same thing.
The next day he cant even remember waking up.
What is up with that? Is there anyhting I should do about it?

Mel, he is sleepwalking, Shane used to do it. We found out he couldn't have peanut butter to close to bedtime, we quit giving it to him

I thought it was sleep walking too. Just dont know how to get him out of it.
He just cries no matter what we do, and then we send him back to bed and he goes back to sleep but back up again within a few hours.

I dont think you can do anything to stop it. I guess just make sure that he doesnt get startled in the night when he's "up" and get him back to bed without too

I agree with PP's, it sounds like sleep walking.

Has he been under any stress lately (well, as stress comes to a 7 yr. old)?

I think things he sees on tv might trigger it.
He can see something and then have bad dreams about it for weeks. It does not even have to be scary.
