Advice for a Soon-To-Be Married Girl

My best friend is getting married in the fall. She just finished up college, and started babysitting here and there just for some extra cash for the wedding.

She just sprung it on me last night that she has decided she does not want children anymore. This is a girl who planned to be a stay at home mom since we were kids! She said after babysitting these kids, she has been completely turned off to having children.

Anyone have any advice I can give her to make her not so discouraged?

She said that the kids were so bratty- they told her they hated her, bit her, hit her, spit at her, etc. She said she could never have the patience because she was so nice to them but they just hated her. Apparently she babysat for about 6 different kids, all from different families.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated :)

I'd start by pointing out that the big difference she's not noticing is that all children do not act like that. That there is a world of difference from raising your children and raising someone elses.

If she was a babysitter, she probably is pretty maternal and will change her tune after a while.
