Elyssa, here. DS (11 months) is finally napping. We did a lot this morning. We went to our new home!!!!to check up on the contractors and the crew was busy working, so that made me happy. Went to a furniture store to look at couches. Went to the bank, called the water, phone, and cable companies and just threw in a towel wash. Phew! I need a rest, but I have to eat lunch or I will pass out! That was my morning. I hope evryone is having a nice day.

i'm with you, i got things done but not with a terribly good attitude. they're just getting on my nerves for some selfish reason. alleria's in this wonderful "if you'll do a b and c with me then i'll know that you love me" stage, and it's driving me nuts. i hate the shameless manipulation involved, lol. tristan woke up 3 times last night to pee, and while i'm proud of his newly aquired potty training finesse i'm a little irritated by having to get up and take a 19 mo old potty in the night. umm, he's still a baby, hence the diaper. when i signed up for this potty training crap i wasn't ready for nights!! plus the middle of the night stiffies are kinda freaking me out. nothing like having to look THAT in the eye at 1 in the morning! boys are so gross....lol.

so if ya can't tell, i'm cranky!

plus my fridge kicked the bucket (well actually, trist dissected the seal and now it won't close, but don't tell my landlord that!) so there's a massive puddle of fridge water accumulating on my newly mopped kitchen floor. i have more dirty dishes than clean ones, and my vaccume died in sympathy with the fridge so the carpet is still covered with last night's goldfish. dh left 3 soda bottles stacked on one another in the middle of the livingroom floor last night. why?? i have no freaking idea, but it was a charming way to start the day. i spent an hour drawing this gorgeous charcoal portrait of alleria and as i got up to find a frame tristan spilled juice all over it.....sigh.

i took the kids to a local park yesterday that has a little duck pond, and thought it would be fun to take them out in this inflatable boat we have. the pond is like 3 feet deep at it's deepest part, it's tiny. i've seen people out there fishing in little boats before, so i assumed it was ok. now honestly, alleria could have stood up easily in the deepest part. well guess not, someone called the cops and told them i had two babies in the 'lake' without life vests. so the cop came and the guy was a total ____, scared the snot out of the kids and me too for that matter, took my boat and threatened me with CPS. did i mention it was 3 FEET DEEP!?!?!?!! YOU COULD SEE THE BOTTOM!!! so what, it's ok to take your kids to the pool that is 6 feet deep, that's safe, but oh god, don't take them out in a glorified mud puddle without life jackets!! if the stupid kids had fallen out they could have WALKED to the shore!! he was going on and on about what a terrible mother i was and 'what if one of them had fallen in?' well i would have grabbed them or they would have walked out, DUH!! started in on "that one (meaning trist) is a tiny little baby, he can barely walk, and you were putting him in terrible danger for your own enjoyment." well for your information, tristan is going on two, he's just very small for his age. he's been walking for almost a year, and his ig has tested at 3 years old, he's not a 'tiny little baby.' and believe it or not, my idea of fun is NOT two kids in an inflatable boat. that's my KIDS idea of fun!! he actually threatened to take me back to the station for a breathalizer....roflol! puhleeeze, all i'd drank was a diet coke, so bite me!!

i called his superviser after everything was done, and they appologized and promised to deal with him (yeah right) but i'm still annoyed. both my kids were crying and scared and he was yelling and acting an a$$, and he's supposed to protect and serve. what a bunch of bs.

whoa, sorry to the total rant!! anyway, the answer is no, i'm not getting much done, i'm stitting here 'itching!! lol
