It does not sound like you have it that bad IMO. They eat fruits and veggies, that's a dream come true! LOL.

How about serving what you've made in fun dishes?

I stress about this too. I do not make them what they like. I prepare a good meal and they get a small spoonfull of everything. They eat what they eat and then I clean up and they go off to play. Every meal there is something they WILL eat. I figure the only way they will ever try anything new is if it is on their plate and they see that everybody else is enjoying it. I do find it amazing that a little body that is growing so much and learning so much every day can survive on about 3 tablespoons of food per day. I asked my ped one time and he said kids do not gain much weight between the ages of 2-8. They get taller but maintain the same weight. I tell my 4y/o ds how many bites he has to eat. This works but he now asks at the beginning of the meal how many bites he has to eat. I would rather he enjoyed his food stopped eating when he was full. I am sure when he is 14 and bringing home a houseful of hungry 14 y/o boys, I will look back on this and laugh.

That's funny what you said about the shredded cheese, my DD is 2 and she won't eat cheese unless its shredded!

Another thing you could try that works with my DD is the V8 fusion drink and the V8 splash.

This is just an idea from one of the other boards I am on to sneak those foods they will not eat into their diet. Some of the women there take the purred baby food veggies and meats and mix them in with other foods. They try to mix veggies of the same basic color into the foods they cook (i.e. carrots into mac and cheese, green veggies in pasta sauce). You could mix any of the meast into any food since they are so bland. HTH
