I am hoping that someone who is really into exercising will read this post...do we have any ex personal trainers on this board? lol
I need to lose about 40lbs. With first son I got right back into shape but after 2 year old was born nothing has been happening. To tell you the truth I never exercised before. I was the girl on my high school track team that everybody hated because no matter how hard they worked out, i would always win. I have never ever had any problems losing weight before and always just ate whatever I wanted to without gaining any weight. I was a size 10 but am now a size 16. That would be okay with me except I sometimes find myself getting out of breath when I play with kids and walking around the mall. This is embarassing but I am not sure I even know what a normal size portion is supposed to be! As a kid it was always a joke in my family that I was so thin and could eat my uncles under the table. I never thouhgt about it but I guess I really do have food issues. As an older child i guess I felt sometimes deprived. I remember a time when I was thirteen that me and my sisters had to make fried potatoes for two weeks in a row because there was no one to cook for us and my mother could not afford anything else. I remember

I think adding cardio is a great idea. Pilates and Yoya are great for strengthening and toning but cardio really burns the fat. It doesn't have to be a lot- two 15 minute walks a day can make a difference or a few 10 minute sessions. I am on the Moms Getting Fit board a lot and it's a great place. The ladies are SO supportive and we all have those pregnancy lbs to lose and food issues abound! I am trying to lose the baby fat and my baby is 2 years old also.
