When Ii tested positive with dd, I just showed him...not too original!!! I am hoping for a better bang this time! (I didn't mean to make that sound dirty by the way...)

This is what I did for our first. I rented the movie parenthood! lol
We watched it together and I said "Hey I can't wait till that happens to us!" Dh said, me either "Well, I'm glad you feel that way!" and I showed him the results. Not very origional but he liked it. For our second I bought the movie and let him open it! He knew right away! lol

Hehe...... I have thought this one through and through. I got pregnant with our 1st out of wed-lock and only dating for a year. Not living together but were sort of serious ...... now we are happily married with 2.
Anywho-
I left a note on the door that led him on a treasure hunt through the whole apartment.......... at the end I left a cigar and book titled "pregnancy for dummies" Hahaha.
My husband is semi old fashioned and pretends to be VERY old fashioned (it is really cute usually and works for us:)...so, when he came home from work I was in the kitchen cooking dinner--barefoot. I asked him, "how is it that you like your women?" and of course he said, "barefoot and in the kitchen" and I said "aren't you forgetting something?" and then he knew. It was very cute!
Good luck...I am sure that there are scores of ideas out there.
Congrats,

but...i bought a card that has a picture of a bun in the oven on the front to tell my mom.

I like the card idea.
I really did a deep clean on the house, cooked a big meal and used the good table wear. I was barefoot in a dress and posed to light candles when he walked in the door.
We hadn't been trying and our dd was just over a year. On his plate I had wrapped a small pair of boxing gloves with a note asking "Are you ready for a second round?"
