My son is 7 years old and still cries about everything. If he is told no he cries, if he doesnt get his way he cries, and so on. It is quite annyoing to see him acting this way at age 7. Does it ever end? Is he just too sensative or are all kids his age still like this?
My nephew still cries over every little thing as well.He was crying crying the other day when my sister was trying to help him learn to read.I love him but it drives me insane. Most of the time it's fake too just so he can get his way. He's 6 and looks like there is no end in sight.
My 6 yo DS is the exact same way. It's irritating to say the least! He can (and does) turn on the tears for any occasion. My 7 yo DS is the exact opposite though, he storms off and slams doors (not my favorite quality of his) but he rarely cries.I guess all kids are different. When my 6 yo isn't crying because he's in trouble he's laughing which trust me is equally annoying.I'm eagerly waiting for him to outgrow this stage. My daughters are a different story all together but we won't go there LOL.
I am right there with you! My 7 year old is the most emotional child I have ever met. I thought boys were supposed to be less emotional. . . NOT!! He cries over everything! When he doesn't get his way, when we have something he doesn't like for dinner, when he doesn't want to do his homework, when he gets hurt, etc. I'm terrible and get really fed up, and have even told him "Grow up, stop being a baby!" To which my DH is *horrified* and thinks I'm scarring him for life. But it gets highly annoying!!
Hang in there. I hear from my SIL who has a teenage son that when boys are 16, they stop talking and don't communicate at all, and are no longer emotional. When the testosterone kicks in, it renders them silent. I'm looking forward to a little silence over here!
