Are you lonely at home?

Do you struggle with loneliness that comes along with being home alot? Or do you stay pretty busy and interact with people on a regular basis?
I have been home almost exclusively since the beginning of the month and I'm finding it really depressing. I've gone through seasons like this before of being home alot without many projects but this is one of the longest so far. I don't know how to deal with it. My DH works 12-14 hrs per day and on Saturdays too. I have a car but we live 45 miles from the nearest town. Anyhow...sorry to complain.
Any suggestions?
Jenn

don't feel bad.
There have been times when I've been lonely at home and I crave adult interaction. It was very important for my sanity to make some mom friends. This board is great, but it's nice to be able to get together with other moms, get out of the house, have a real conversation. Do you have any neighbors who might want to start a playgroup? You could also plan a day to two every week to get into town and join some mom activities that are going on there.
Hope it gets better soon!

Jenn, have you tried matchingmoms.org? You might be able to find some other moms close to you that you have a lot in common with.
Come join us for chat on mondays & thursdays too... we'd love to have you!
I went through this to and still do. Being home alot is tough. I am dreading winter.
For me it is not so much the loneliness as it is not getting a break. Like you I live in area where I travel to be somewhere.
Anyway what has worked for me is that my daughter and I go to a mom and tot class once a week and at least one other day I plan an outing, even if it just to the mall to walk around. Just enough to get out of the house.
These chats have helped me more than I can say and I think that you will find that this is good way to be in touch.....
Good Luck and Take Care of Yourself
