Ok, so this is my second little guy and I'm due in June but have had to go to the hospital for contractions twice so far, so my hubby and I decided that I should stay home from work and take it easy so our little one stays in there. Im pretty sure Im not getting a baby shower the second time around which I was fine with at first, but now that Im not able to work and my first sons(3yrs) clothes are all for the winter because he was a novermber baby. Im wishing I was getting a shower so I wouldnt have to go buy all the little extra things Im going to need. My hubby and I are a bit tight on money right now and I cant just ask for another shower. Does anyone have any suggestions?

DO NOT ask for a baby shower, hello rude! LOL. I think you should go to resale shops and garage sales to save money. If any one asks what you want/need, by all means tell them. Heck, I wish I'd had showers for all 3 of my kids, but that doesn't happen often.

I don't have any grand wisdom on this, but I understand your feelings.

If/when DH and I have another child, I would want another shower.

Thanks for your input. You were alot of help. Im not planning on asking anyone for a shower...thats why I was writing. Im looking at going to a few church sales soon, but Im just concerned with all the other things were going to need (some small equipment, bottles, binkeys, ect.) and me not working, this just wasnt in our plans not having the extra salary there.
Thanks again. :o)

I know how you feel about your 2nd on the way...I'm 32wks preg with my 2nd DD and the clothes I have for her, the seasons will be a little off from my first DD, but if anyone ever asked me what they could buy for the baby, I was honest and told them.

Aww..thankyou so much! Im just really stressed right now. I think after the baby comes we're going to throw a welcoming party in a nearby park, hot dogs, hamburgers, simple stuff, and if anyone wants to they can bring a gift but unlike a baby shower they wont feel obligated. It'll be a nice chance for everyone to meet the little guy and for the family to all get together.

Ok you can all shoot me if you want.......but do you have a very close friend that you could mention this to. I didn't have a shower with the first 2 and when I had #3 I mentioned it to a very close friend.
