This is a story of how my Christmas went if anyone cares to read it... lol

So... we left for ottawa Saturday morning at around 9:45am. Stopped for breafast about an hour after driving. Spent like an hour there, because Bailey was eating quite slow and there were so many ppl. Then half way there, Bailey decided that he wanted to PUKE out his breakfast! So, it was very...stinky, had to find the next nearest washroom stop, was like half an hour away... ewwwww... and was waiting for the family washroom (ladies room was FULL with long line ups). As DH and I waited for the person to come out of the family washroom, there were ppl walking back and forward bumping into us and everything! And I had to almost fight 2 stupid women because they try to cut in and sneak into the family washroom after I've been waiting for so long? I don't think so. One when I told her I was there first, she just walks away, and other one was half way into the washroom as the person who was in the washroom walked out. Had to bascially run in and told her I was waiting first. She gave me this look. Like, whatever.... And she like... banged on the door twice while we were in there, and was she stupid that she didn't hear Bailey crying? and maybe we're busy changing him? ARGHHH... Some ppl are so stupid! Got to Ottawa at around 3:30pm.

Next.... went to DH's father's house. His stepmother doesn't clean so the house is DIRTY! They have a dog, so his dog hair is EVERYWHERE... and when DH saw that there was dog hair even on the sheets and pillows that we were supposed to sleep on, he got fed up and told them we're leaving, because he will not have Bailey sleep on that while Bailey has eczema. And Bailey was getting all itchy and everything there too. I could tell FIL was quite upset because he didn't say a word when DH was trying to explain to them why we were leaving. But the next day when we went back there, he was okay though. He even vaccummed the floor 3 times from the time we left til the time we got there the next afternoon.LOL...

So, we went to stay at DH's mother's house which is about 1/2 hour away. It's better over there, although she also has a dog, but a small and STUPID one, it's A LOT cleaner there, because she's a CLEAN FREAK!!! There is not one single dust or dirt or anything in her house. DH is just like her, so I will have someone to clean my house for me! LOL... Anyway, so because we stayed there, we had to drive back and forward like everyday between grandparents! *sigh*

Christmas day after we drove over to FIL's house early to have breakfast and open gifts, we then had to drive back to MIL's in the afternoon for dinner and open gifts. Well... dinner wasn't as good as other years, after dinner as everyone was just sitting around having dessert Bailey who wasn't scared of MIL's dog but is more scared of FIL's dog, guess because that one is bigger. Anyway, so he went upto MIL's STUPID dog, who is REALLY stupid, he isn't trainned and don't understand anything, all he does is bark and lick himself! So, Bailey walked up to him all by himself, like he just walked over to the dog and pet him a bit, my brave baby!!! And then as he was walking away, what does that stupid dog do? He tried to bite Bailey! Had was biting on to his shirt and going at it and THANK GOD stupid dog didn't get a good hold of Bailey just his shirt, any deeper Bailey would have gotten bitten. He was just going crazy. DH had to kick that dog away and then DH's mother and brother tried to say it was Bailey's fault, so DH of course got mad and they had this HUGE arguement. He was mad because they picked a dog over our son and how they just automatically assume it's Bailey's fault. That dog even bites DH's mother, and also bit another kid before, so there is obviously something wrong if your own dog is biting you and stuff. Like REAL bites.

Anyway, so after that DH wanted to leave, and just drive back home, but I convinced him to stay because it was late and didn't want him to be driving 5 hours back in the dark.

So that was our Christmas bascially. DH said we will NOT be going back there for Christmas... Hopefully next year, we'll be at our new house and then we can start our own new family Christmas traditions. It was a pain in the butt in the car with Bailey. He HATES car rides... so you could imagine what it was like for me...

Thanks for reading!!! Sorry it was so long. I tried to make it as short as I can. Hahaha...I will post some pictures as soon as I get the chance to upload them. Hope everyone had a better Christmas then we did!!!

Wow! What a Christmas. Sounds like you need a vacation from your vacation. You are SO right about the stupid dog trying to bite Bailey. My mom's dog once almost bit my oldest dd. The dog had just had a shot and my dd pressed on the spot, if the dog was going to bite her she would have, she just snapped at her and left it at that. Sort of like "OW! That hurt, don't do it again". From then on, my mom kept the dog in a bedroom when kids were around.

I hope you have a better New Years than you had Christmas.

Wow, Judy! How scary about the dog!! I'm glad he didn't hurt Bailey!

I'm sorry your Christmas wasn't perfect. Hopefully next year you'll be in your own house and can do things the way you want.
