I woke up this morning to my phone ringing. My DH answered it and said "oh no" He came back to bed and I knew it was our dog Vinnie, and I asked "what happened to Vinnie?" DH said he was hit by a car. He was looking out the window and I joined him and there laid my 6 month rot/lab pup/ dog. I cant get over it. I picked him when he was 3 days old. He was my dog. He was smart and sweet. He was beautiful too. He looked just like a rot but you could see the lab in his face. My kids dont seem to care. They didnt even cry. My DH and I have been crying all day. I almost didnt go to Dinner. While there I was fine but once we left I started to cry again.

I live on a route called RT666. There is a mill 3 doors from my house. The employees from there and the logging trucks fly up and down this road including the hot shot punks. What can I do?There are children in every other house. This is the final straw, I want people to slow down. Any ideas. I would also like to know who hit my dog. I hope he left damage he weighed 62 lbs. He was on one side of the road and his collar was on the other side. My neighbors called my inlaws and they called us. FIL even came and picked him and buried him for us.

Then last night I had to take my middle son Justin to the ER my DH said he had been crying for 5 hours. I took him to the er and he has double ear infections. Severe in the right ear plus a broken tooth. So I have to make appointments. I hope I can get somewhere tomarrow.
This has been my 2 days, and they have sucked.

Gosh Eileen...I don't know what to say besides I'm so sorry for the lose of your dog. What an awful thing to happen. I would definately talk to the city or whoever will listen to get something done about the trucks. I shudder to think of a child running in to the road.
Hope your son is feeling better and I hope today is a great day for you.

I am sorry for the loss of your family dog. I know how hard it is to lose a animal. My dog of over 13 years just died a few months ago and it was hard to deal with.
I think that you should call the city council and address the issue of speeding on this raod. Have them investigate. Tell them there are children on this road.
I hope they can do something about it.
Good luck.

I am so sorry to hear about your beloved friend. I agree with the above posts that you should contact your city about this.

I also want to wish a speedy recovery for your little one with the ear infections.

Hope everything gets better, it will take some time to greive for the loss of your pet though. Remember children usually do not get the concept of death yet which is why it might seem they do not care.

Great big ((Hugs)) to you!!!!
