Baking day today :)

We are having a huge baking day today - me and the kids. Joseph and Alyssia have a xmas party at their toddler group tommorrow so we are going to bake some fairy cakes and some cheesy bites to take with us. Then, so that Michael isn't left out, we are going to make fudge and maybe some cookies for him to take into school and give out to his classmates as a xmas treat. I just hope I can find enough hours in the day lol! I wanted to make winter bird feeders too but I think I am definitely gonna run out of time because I am going to my nanas until lunchtime. It's only 8.30 am and Joseph has already started painting lots of pictures

Sounds like fun! Your kids are lucky they can still bring home made treats! Here, they have to be store bought :(

I hope you had a fun day, Gemma!!

Thanks. Why do they have to be store bought there?

We had a fun day, we didn't get round to making the fudge for Michael's class yet but we made two plates full of muffins with white and pink icing and a plate of cheesy bites - Joseph is so excited about the party and I am sure Alyssia will really enjoy it, she was only a tiny baby last year at it lol!

Love your new sig BTW

Thanks, we had great fun although we didn't get round to making the fudge. I have a plateful of muffins and cheesy bites ready for the party though!

How old is Emily? Joseph started helping me bake - well simple things like rice crispie cakes at 14/15 months and really enjoyed it! I haven't let Lissy join in yet though...maybe another moth or two (she isn only 13 months!)

Wow! THat sounds like fun.. and a lot of work! I used to do a lot of Christmas treats each year, but haven't done that since the year before Natalie was born. :( I should get back into doing that, maybe after we build a house and I have the kitchen I really want! Maybe that will get dh moving on the idea. LOL

Gemma, that sounds like so much fun! I hope you enjoyed your day. I love baking! Even though it kind of wears you out (by the time you get everything cleaned up and put away), it's so much fun...I can't wait until Rhiannon is old enough to help. Right now she loves to watch me so I know it's only a matter of time before she can help.

Hope you had fun. :)
