Hi. I was wondering if anyone can suggest a bathtub that you and your baby love. I have been bathing my son in the sink since he was born and I think he is ready for the tub now. He is 8 months old and getting very playful. I have been looking for the right tubseat to place in the tub, but there are so many out there. Any suggestions? Thanks, Elyssa

I think I can recall a consumer warning a few yrs ago about the tub rings. Your not suppose to use them for some reason or another. But I can't recall... Anyone else....

Well anyway that is what I had with both of my kids and I love it. Its a large double ring. You secure it to the tub with with large grabber things then baby can sit in the middle. His arms can rest on the top ring and he is free to splah and play. It is also nice because you can easly get your hands in between the rings to wash him.

Good Luck

i too had the ring seat, mine was like 12.99 or something and blue. had a play thing on the top with 3 balls that kept baby busy. i loved it. it worked great. it helped while she was learning to sit on her own and she loved the independence. i think mainly the reason there was something on it was that it could possibly tip if you don't secure the suction things on the bottom well enough. i could see that being a problem if someone left the baby alone in it thinking it was ok to go about other things but i don't know of anyone that leaves their baby alone in the tub with all that could happen. i personally never left the baby alone for a second so that even if that was to happen i would have caught her, and that didn't happen. just my 2 cents.

I say go for a tub that you like as well as your son. Like you said, there are so many out there, but pick the one right for you both.
None comes to mind with names or anything, but I wish you luck, and once you do find the perfect one, bathtime will be so much fun :)

I had the blue ring with the beads on top. However, when we started to use it, my son would get stuck in it. his thighs were very thick and wouldnt bend well. i had to unstick the ring from the tub to get him out! My sis gave me a seat that works co much better. It looks like a chair without legs. Just a seat and a back and a seatbelt. I havent seen one in a store before, I think it was probably a garage sale item.
