Birthday Parties?

I was having coffee with a friend the other day and we were talking about all the b-day parties the kids are invited to in the next little while. It seems everyone is looking for something different to do when the time comes. For example, when Ds turned 7 we rented out a hockey arena for 2 hours and let the kids skate and play hockey then had cupcakes and pizza in the dressing room after. He is passionate about hockey so we thought, why not? What about you guys?

One of my girls won a swim party at the community pool at the Easter egg hunt. We are using it for her and her sisters birthday and that party is today actually.

My oldest daughter (9) just had hers and we did it at a bowling alley. We bought 90 minutes of bowling, pizza and ice cream and the girls had a blast.

My kids have had some there as well! The new bowling alley also has bumper cars and mini golf.Though I think they would rather spend the hour on the bumper cars ;o)

Our party was at 12 noon till 3pm. Now I have 7 girls, 9 counting my girls spending the night. They are doing nails right now. Painting each others nails that is. Soon we will do a few crafts and then watch High School Musical. They are having fun! LOL The pool party as fun too. Lots of kids, 16 to be exact and lots of gifts to bring home. I never think about that when I invite people. I just want a goood crowd so everyone has someone or a friend they know.
