I have been home with my son since he was born and I am used to working in a busy office and surrounded by lots of people. Now that I am not working I don't seem to have any friends, I talk to my mom during the day and my son, my mom gives me tough luck responses and my son doesn't talk (he was born 10-8-06) I feel like my husband doesn't understand as he is working and has tons of social activities with his work. Does anyone have any suggestions to get through this, I do want to stay home with my son I just maybe need more activities besides the house work, going for walks, and taking care of my son. Any advise??

I would suggest finding a local moms group.

Have you looked into any playgroups in your area?

I know how you feel. It can be a little lonely at times. Mom's groups are great and playgroups are good for the kids, too, but what about joining something just for you? Could you take a class or perhaps join a gym so you have some "you" time and can meet other people that share the same interests? It can be kind of hard when it seems that everything revolves around the baby. Mom tends to get put on the backburner. But we all need a little time to ourselves - at least occasionally!
