and chest, yes I have pimples. This is really bothering me since I am 29 years old, and I haven't had a pimple problem with this since I was 16 years old. They just keep popping up, and I am embarrassed to go out in public, because I feel I'm too old to be having this problem. I've also been eating like crazy, my stomach is constantly rumbling, and I'm having a hard time getting out of bed in the morning, I've been sleeping in till 7 am and my kids have to be up at that time, to get ready for school. I've been feeling like a slob, and no motivation to do anything, it sucks, and I'm never lazy, and was quit happy I finally got down to 120 lbs, and now I'm back up to 124lbs. :( Could this be perimenopause??? The women in my family, unfortunately go into menopause on their own in their thirties, I will be 30 in two months. This has to be hormonal,, any input please.

It sounds like a hormonal thing. Just hang in there. *HUGS* Our womanly bodies can go haywire from time to time.

I would think it was hormonal, too. I had great skin when I was in my teens, and started to break out in my late 20s and now in my 30s. As long as I'm using Proactive (they have body wash, too) my skin looks great. I stopped using it for a while because I was tired of it ruining my towels (the Nutragena {sp?} did it, too) but started to break out again. So vanity won out and I'm using it again and have crappy looking towels. But hey, my skin looks great! Ha ha!

Isn't that the stuff that's on TV??? If so, how much does it cost? My husband is getting worried too. I have been using St Ives Apricot scrub for 10 years now, and I guess it stopped working, when I was 19 I started using it, mainly because my husband, boyfriend at the time, said it worked well for him, within two days my face was clear and I was beautiful. I have also talked with my husband about this, he said believe it or not, his doctor told him that more adults get pimples then teens. I was like wow!! I thought it was a teen thing. Guess I was wrong. I also thought I was pregnant, but I took a test yesterday and started my period as well, so i guess that ones out. So what types of hormonal things do 30 year olds go through? I will be 30 on March 28th, lucky me. Any advice about turning 30 would be great!!! LOL. I will see if I can get my hormones checked at my next pap smear appt. I did get it checked when I was 26, because I lost my libido, and have yet to find it, even though I still have sex, and they said my hormones level was normal, but maybe I should check again. But please tell me how to get proactiv, is it in the stores yet???? Thanks for replying!!

Hello again!

I go to proactive.com, but if you see an add in magazines I think the initial order is cheaper ($20 vs. $40). You can space out your shipments so you don't get more than you need, and you can change the shipments to include only the products you need. Like if you use more toner than the repairing lotion, you can have two toners sent and one repairing lotion. And then change it to include the face wash when you need that.

I don't mean to sound like a commercial for them, but I really do love their products. It's worth the $40 every few months (I don't need everything every 4 weeks, so my shipments are spaced out to every 2 months I think....) to keep my face clear. It seems to clear up scaring from past break outs, too. BUT, it will ruin any colored towels you have.... that's my warning. The benzoyl peroxide bleaches towels. Even rinsing my face really well before towel drying it, it manages to bleach the towel where I dried my face. That's the only drawback. I just make sure I fold up the towel and hang it up with the bleached part not showing! :o)

Good luck. I know it sucks to get zits when we're ADULTS! Ha ha. I think our hormones change every month and that is what causes it. I think acidophilus also helps keep bacteria in check in your body also. I started taking that when I was pregnant with my first son because I had UTI after UTI. The midwife suggested it and I haven't had one since. I think it also helps with your face.... you can find that in the vitamins/minerals section at the drug or grocery store.

I'm sure it's hormonal. It seems like every few years my hormones freak out. The one thing that works for me is good ol' Noxema. Slather it on everything and let it sit for
