How much time do you spend buying a typical toy?

I try to avoid it whenever possible.

We don't even have a toy store in this town, which sometimes I like and sometimes I don't. That reminds me, I forgot to get my niece's birthday present at Kmart earlier! Argh! Anyhow, shopping with DS is easy right now as he's only 11 months. I refuse to take my nieces and nephew to a store with me though as it is heII getting them out of there without a meltdown. That being said, we just don't buy many toys. LO has gotten so many as gifts that we just haven't needed to buy much. Plus, with no actual toy store, I just run through the toy section while grocery shopping if we do need to get something.

Not much time at all, really. I try to buy online whenever possible. If I have to buy a toy in the store, we're pretty quick to locate it and then get the heck out of there. If we have to get something in a store, I'll look online to see if they have an inventory option. I've called ahead and had them hold a toy for me at the service desk, so it really saves time.
