That is nice that your dh will do that for you. Mine won't unless it's extreme circumstances. Course he'll leave early at the drop of a hat to go see an early movie, or to some sort of event (scouts or soccer). You are a lucky lady in my mind. LOL

I am a "newbie" here. I posted an intro in "welcome mat", so I wasn't on the "Coffee Break" post. However, I am quite proud of myself already today, and it isn't even noon!

Despite the pest control man calling in sick and rescheduling for tomorrow at 8:30 am, I fot the girls off to school....DH took them on the way to work/guys weekend in Chicago...ran the dishwasher, made beds, ran a load of school clothes through the wash, folded a load of towels and bathroom rugs, mailed a package at the PO, picked up a blouse from the clearance rack at Gymboree...9.99....and a sundress/jumper from Old Navy for the girls, and now I just have to contact PTA regarding the first board meeting!! YAY!!!!

Don't get me wrong, this is NOT an everyday occurrence for me. In fact, I found you ladies yesterday while I was having a crisis bc I couldn't "get it together"!

Have a great afternoon!

Well, we are glad you did find us even thouhg you were in a crisis. You have been a busy bee thins morning. Me too and in over 100 degree heat. Ugh, for the 9th day in a row.

Okay, we can check having lunch with mommies froms from an ALABAMA board on a competitor site. iVillage doesn't have an ALABAMA board anymore. Bummer. I just opened a half drank Sunkist that I had left in the freezer and it exploded on me. Literally. LOL Okay, I am doing the laundry but I doubt it will get finished before soccer practice tonight. I am s tired from staying up too late and I am losing m momentum really fast.

Dinner is cooking, roast in the crock pot, dh isn't happy since he won't be home to enjoy it. But he will get leftovers for lunch tomorrow.

My husband and I graduated from The University of ALabama in Tusc. We also lived in Mtn. Brook in Bham for several years. Our girls were born in Bham, and we moved to ATL in Sept. of 99. We would move back to AL in a heartbeat. I grew up there...Mobile...and Marc loves it as well!!

PS...I officially ran out of steam after I ran to school to handle pta stuff.....Easy Mac for supper, as DH is out of town!! You have soccer, and we have softball...7-8pm tonight.

you all have fun doing this. I will abstain. I don't need reminded about things that I didn't get accomplished.

This day just is not long enough. I have been to the store and got (hopefully) enough milk, bread, and fruit to get us through the weekend. Ethan's sheets are clean and I need to make his bed so he can take his nap. I got a load of my pants and skirts washed and need to get them into the dryer now. The dishes are done. I'm finishing up my lunch now. I am in desperate need of a break now. The kids are running me ragged. The youngest two are going down for naps. I'm not sure what Johnathan's gonna do. He's already used up his video game time for the day. As for me, I'm going to work on laundry, and get the living room and kitchen straightened while the kids nap. The bathroom too if there's time. Back to School night is at 6 tonight, so we'll head out to my parents house around 5 so I have plenty of time to get the younger two out there and then head back to the school with Johnathan. I. am. so. tired. I'm losing steam. We live just up the street from a convenience store. Sometimes if Libby is sleeping, I'll leave the other two long enough to pop over there to grab a coke. I think I'm gonna need one today.

checking in really fast. I just nursed Libby. I got Ethan's bed made and he is taking a nap. Elizabeth is already up from her nap and she and Johnathan are playing. He's helping her build a tower with some bristle blocks. All she really wants to do with them is examine them and stick them in her mouth, but it's keeping him happy so I won't mention that. Hee hee. While she was asleep I got my pants and skirts into the dryer and my shirts into the washing machine. I got the kids' pjs folded. I started getting the kitchen straightened up and then decided that since Johnathan was still in pjs and has back to school night tonight, I ought to get him into the shower. So I did that and he's dressed now. While he took his shower I filled out his paperwork for school registration and school lunch. Now I'm gonna have him take a quick break from playing with his sister so I can get his hair combed and then I'll finish up in the kitchen. We need to leave in an hour for back to school night.

I love the idea of this thread. One of the main reasons I came to this board is because I felt overwhelmed with all I had to do and I was looking for ways of how other sahm's do it. Having a thread where I can boast my accomplishments really helps me, even if I don't always get everything done that I'd like to.

K, I'm going now. I'll check in later tonight.
