well ladies, I'm off the boards for the next week and a half. We're leaving tomorrow afternoon and I have a ton of things to do.
Please keep us in your prayers for a safe & peaceful trip, and that we can either find a new home for Madison *TODAY*, or that she does ok outside with the 100+ degree temps we've been having. I'm concerned about leaving her, but we just don't have any other choice.
Everyone take care... I'll miss you!

Hugs Desiree! We will sure miss you around here! I pray for a safe trip for you and your family. Also, my thoughts and prayers are with you as you celebrate Grandma's life!!
As for the dog, can you just take her to a shelter? Tell them the situation. I'm quite certain they would rather you do that than leave her for a week and a half. Good Luck!!
Hugs,
Wendy
Hey, I just get here and you are leaving? I don't know the situation since I have been away but I hope you have a safe trip!

Have a safe trip. ;-) I agree with Wendy about taking the dog to an animal shelter. Not only would that be sad for the dog to be outside for that long, but you could get in trouble for leaving her. I know you're going thru a very hard time right now, and you might not like me for the dog comments. But I'm an animal lover. Anyway, I hope the car ride goes smoothly for your family too!
My sympathies,
Chrissy
You know I'm praying for you and you family!
Have a safe trip. Will be missing you!

Have a safe trip, and I agree with PP, take the dog to the shelter.
ok thank you people very much for making me feel like crap about the freaking dog... just what I needed right now on top of grieving and being severely stressed out.
We've tried to find her a new home and no one wants her. We can't afford a kennel. We are completely broke and this trip is going to drain our finances completely. Kyle's whole family will be staying in the same hotel, while we sleep in a $40 a night dump and live on peanut butter and jelly sandwiches until we can make it to my mom's house next week on the way home.
it's not like she's being completely abandoned... we have neighbors and family that will check on her everyday, and keep the sandbox filled with water so she can play in it.
I'm going to go cry now
I hope you have a safe trip & our Prayers are with you and yours.

Hugs, Desiree.... I'm sorry, I guess I didn't know the circumstances as to her being at home. I was just trying to help!! Please, please forgive me. I know how tough this is right now, and I thought maybe this was a good solution.
