Well, yesterday I made myself finally fold and put away all the laundry I have done over the past week.

I decided this week is dedicated to making my kitchen more inhabitable and since this is my first month of using weekly zones, I decluttered 90% of it (still have to do the hutch but it is not that bad) yesterday. I dusted the refrigerator coils and was able to turn the cold setting down one number and still maintain a good temperature. I mopped the floor last night. Today I bleached my countertops (amazing how much easier it is to clean when there is nothing but a coffee pot and lazy susan on the kitchen "peninsula", and cleaned out the microwave. I took a measuring cup of water and boiled it for 3 min in the microwave, then let it steam for a few min. I then took a paper towel and voila! all of the crud wiped right off. I also soaked the glass tray in hot soapy water and got it very clean.

I may hit the hutch tomorrow, along with cleaning out the fridge. Next month I plan on doing the inside of the the cabinets.

You know, I scoffed at all of the touchy feely stuff in the flylady book, but the other day, I was able to have someone over for a playdate with my kids not because my house was pristine, but because I felt better about it knowing I was making progress towards getting it into better shape. Sometimes just knowing how much better it will look in 2-3 mos is enough to make me feel better.
