Hi all! i'm still around finally getting a little bit of a schedule and getting back on the boards more regularly! (woohoo! lol) I had my little Ally on Nov.13 and shes doing great!
Today we have the public health nurse coming over. (She'll weigh Ally and ask a million and one questions about my health and hers) And thats it for us! My step mom took Emily last night for a couple of hours so I don't even have any cleaning to do today so I get to do absolutly nothing but enjoy my kiddos yippee!

Since tommorrow is our grocery day I'll say Happy Thanksgiving to you guys!I'm Canadian so I've btdt this year but Happy Thanksgiving all the same ;D)

Good Morning! It is cold here this morning but it is suppose to be warming up today, it will be in the mid 70's tomorrow, I personally would rather the cold weather. Well nothing much here today just some laundry to finsh and cleaning up. I am going to my grandmother's house to watch her make gumbo for tomorrow. Also when dh gets home we are going to get Cambre a fish ( in addition to the dog and 3 cats we have. Well at least a fish pretty much takes care of itself. Hope everyone has a good day and Happy Thanksgiving.

Morning, all! :) Alex pulled two muscles in his back yesterday so he was home early yesterday and home today. They told him to come back whenever he feels better. He picked up the moving boxes today, but he can't bend over...so I get to pack. I'm kinda picky, so that's fine. lol As long as he tells me what to get rid of as we go...I'm good. :) I'm not looking forward to Thanksgiving tomorrow; we're going to my parent's house. My mom is really getting all over me about our finances and why we can't stay in this house. She doesn't know what she's talking about and yet she's yelling at me and lecturing. Didn't parental rights to lecturing end when you turn...um...a parent yourself??? Anyway. Not gonna vent. Honest! Today, just slowly packing and sorting and cleaning. Taking it easy, but slowly getting things done.

One of the happiest memories of my mother now that you mention yours, was one thanksgiving, i think the last i spent with her, i was doing charity work. At a homeless shelter, and somewhere along the way i found out how much it would cost through the same charity, to get food to 10 families for thanksgiving. Well, she got on the phone, and got the money within like 10 minutes, people are willing to give i have found out if they know there is a need. So, we went to the ACME, and shopped with two shopping carts, for these ten families. Mind you my mom was so ill at the time, she could not breath properly, she was on hemodialysis, and was a lupis patient, having suffered the toxicity of steroids for 18 years. Regardless of this she helped me shop and then i recruited someone from my university to help me lug it all out of my car to the drop off point cause it was heavy stuff. The reason, i am writing this to you was because i felt like it:) for some reason. Anyway, if you don't have things to talk about that don't cause a ruckus, ask her about herbs, like is St. John's Wort, absorbed into breastmilk, and if it has any toxicity in liver. (and then let me know) With parents you have to set some boundaries with them interfiering, like they are doing it for your own good they think. I think i was about your age during this thanksgiving with my mom, and the turkeys. Anyway, you have to basically cut the cord, and you know what it is scarry to be free of them, isn't it! anyway, take this stuff with a grain of salt it is almost midnight here and i may be overly emotional, from fatigue.
happy turkey day,

Arie, I know this post is coming really late, as I've just now got my internet and computer access back. We've moved faaaar away from my parents, so this separation should help improve our relationship. I firmly believe that good fences make good neighbors, as well as good family members. :) That's a neat story you shared. :) I'm glad you have good memories to look back on, especially when you aren't able to physically be there.

MWAH! Hope you had a great turkey day!
