Congradulations, Wendy, on a stress free holiday!! I can't imagine hosting, I'd be a mess.

My Thanksgiving was the best yet, too. It was such a beautiful day, and I love the drive from the burbs to my home town, the way the plains melt away into the hills. Feels like going home. It's very much an 'over the river and through the woods' trip. I went to my mom's house, which is what we do every year, and she, my stepfather, my sister, and my grandmother (88) were all there. Our menu was Turkey, meatballs, mashed potatoes, green beens, pees, corn, corn casserole, baked beens, sweet potatoes, rolls, stuffing, pumpkin pie, cheesecake, chocolate cake, and a few others I can't remember. My mother is one of 12 and getting my grandmother to our particular TG is quite a coup, rewarded with lots of delicious food. We ate too much and the kids played. Then we went to my ILs for meal #2. Nikki stayed at their house and will come home tomorrow when they come to watch the kids so dh and I can shop.

I wish I could've shopped today, but dh had to work. I am going to go pick up a new DVD for the twins (IceAge, the Meltdown) to make up for the fact they're not at grandma and grandpa's like Nikki. I also have to get some supplies for painting, dh is doing the den. I told him we weren't putting up the tree until the room was painted, lol. I finally found a way to motivate him.

Hope everyone has a safe Friday.

Hello and TGIF everyone. I hope everyone had a great day yesterday.
We went to my parents home after lunch time and then ate Thanksgiving at 2pm. We had a good time and the food was oh so yummy.
After that we watched the game. Then when the lil ones went down for a nap we went and played games. This is something we do every year.
Then after a few games and Nicholas was fed, we went home.
Nicholas was a doll and let me sleep from 10pm till 8am! Thats the most sleep I have got in a long time.

Have a great Fiday everyone.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! We had a good one. We ate with my ILs at my SIL's house. We had a huge spread. The turkey and trimmings were kind of like side dishes to all the Italian pasta dishes! The kids played with their cousins, and we hung out and talked and relaxed, and stuffed our faces. I was so full! And I drank a bit too much wine, too, LOL! The only drawback was that it poured rain all day.

Yesterday evening we all went to my MIL's grave. This is getting to be a little Thanksgiving tradition in Michael's family. It was bittersweet. So I guess there was kind of a sadness to our holiday, too. It's still hard at the holidays without her, since it's only been 2 years since she passed on, and she was such a big part of the holidays for everyone. It's nice that we remember her by visiting her grave on Thanksgiving, though.

Today my boys are home, and Michael is back at work, and it's GORGEOUS LOOKING out, but cold!! My kids have some neighborhood friends in to play with down in the basement. And I'm shopping like a mad woman on-line for Christmas gifts! I've barely started and have sooooooo many people to buy for, but I love to buy gifts for people.

My girls are still The Booger Girls. I wonder when this cold is going to clear out!!

Have a great day!

Sofia
