Normally the time change does nothing to me, but it really knocked me for a loop this time. Anyway, I have some picking up to do, We had people over on Saturday, so I scrubbed my house Sat. daytime cause Tony was home and he kept the kids at bay.
It's supposed to be BEAUTIFUL in Jersey again today, so Dante and I will do some errands. I have to get a package off to Australia that's been collecting dust, and another to Tony's mom. Then we T gets home we have to go food shopping. Dante is still in bed, and the older ones got off to school great this morning (i think it's the weather)
Other then that, we will just enjoy the weather. Have a great Monday everyone!
If the weather stays nice I'm going shopping some today, I'm out of my face soap and the girls need some spring dresses. I need to return a dvd that's over due by a couple days (hate when I do that) and get the twins in the bath.
Good Morning. Im really tired and drained today, so after mailing in my application, Im not doing anything today, NOTHING :) Im looking forward to just hanging out witht the boys being being carefree for one day!
Good morning girls! It was very hard to get out of bed this a.m. since it was still dark. It didn't phase the kids though! Madison is off to school, and the boys are playing with the cats and watching Sesame Street. Next week is spring break, and I'm trying to think of fun things to do with the kids. Madison will be so bored. None of her neighborhood friends will be around b/c their parents all work. Anyway, I hope to make chat. Have a great Monday!
We had a great weekend -- DH was suppossed to work but found out Friday evening he wouldnt have to, so we just stayed home and played outside with the kids all weekend. (It was 80 degrees here). Saturday I did all of the grocery shopping, and yesterday I did the major cleaning, so hopefully this week will go smoothly with Alyssa home too.
My uncle built my kids a merry-go-round, so they played on that a lot this weekend and I thought it would be great for them this week -- that was until a storm blew in last night with 4 inches of rain (Its ok, we were in a drought) but the yard is soaked and no playing outside today -- plus there is a 50% chance for more rain. The wind was blowing so hard (the weather man said between 30-40mph) that when DH left for work this morning he noticed a back window on my minivan had shattered! So, I've got to call around today and see what that will cost.
Other than that we don't have much planned. We are staying home today for sure -- probably going to make some playdough (Alyssa has been bugging me about it since they learned how in school, lol) and then I promised Layla we would make some homemade choc chip cookies.
Dinner tonight is gonna be Hamburgers on the grill and french fries.
Hope everyone has a great day!!
(I attached a pic of the kids on their new merry-go-round -- I just hope its not too close to the shed that one of them goes flying off and hits it!! Too late now though, its cemented into the ground!)
I sympathize with the others who had that nasty storm last night as I had it too. The time change was actually good for me as all four kids slept until 8 this morning so unusual. DH has to work until 5 then go to the Faith t-ball coaches meeting so just like last week he will be home just as I am putting the kids down. I was hoping to turn the kids loose in the backyard but there is a 50% chance of rain so we will just stay inside might be better though since everyone has been so whiny the last 2 days. I got pretty much all the laundry done just have to wash the summer stuff I am getting out of boxes and figure out what fits. I am also going to attempt to make a months worth of food menus before Friday so I can get everything at once except fruit and milk. I have to run out after the kids are down for milk and probably some more fruit and veggies for our fat guinea pig. Kashmir
I haven't posted in Coffee Break in a while! We had an OK weekend I guess. At least the weather was a bit warmer (although not warm enough for me!!). Friday night we just hung out at home. Saturday night I played Bunco with my neighborhood group. Not sure if you're familiar, but it's just a dice-rolling-drinking-eating-socializing fest, LOL! I got a tad tipsy, but wasn't driving since it was in my development, so that was OK.
Yesterday DH left for a medical conference in Las Vegas :( I miss him already. I hate it when he travels!! So I'm alone all week. He made it safely, thank goodness. I wish I could have gone with him. Before we had kids I used to go to his medical conferences with him and just hang out in the posh hotels. Now we don't have anyone to watch the kids all week. . . Someday I'll do that again. . . But he'll be back Thursday night, so not too bad!!
The boys are at school, and the girls are home with me playing Polly Pockets here on the floor. Just a lazy day. If it felt warmer, I'd take them outside, but it was freezing at the school bus stop this morning, and when I took the Recycle down a while ago it was still cold. . .
Hope to make Chat this time and I hope everyone's having a great day!

Mornin' everyone.
Today will be dictated by how Alyssa is feeling.
