Sorry about the duplicate thread. I wasn't expecting you to be around, Wendy. Sending lots of **peace, patience, and love** vibes to you and your family. I hope all goes well in what needs to be done, and that your family finds peace in all of it. :)

As far as my day goes... hmmm... dh works today 9-5:30, then at 7:30pm I have my Thursday meeting. It's gotten cold and very, very windy here, so I'm probably keeping the kiddos inside today as much as possible. Maybe some play-doh and other table activities. (Need to look up more ideas appropriate for a 3 year old AND an 18 month old.) Any ideas? Nate eats crayons, and Aryc draws pretty much only by slamming the crayon into the table and dragging it as hard pressed as he can. So coloring is pretty much out. But play-doh is good for Aryc (Nate can't stand the texture on his hands), and blocks are good for Nate. But more than that? Not sure. I was up before the sun today, at about 3:30. I've been so stinking manic that my brain and my fingers just won't hold still, or even slow down. I'm not on meds for my bipolar, so I try the best behavior modification I can. (Can't afford meds, or the side effects, so I had to go off of them.) Anyway... I'll probably try to find a couple minutes to buzz back down to the BP board here on iV. That's a great group of ladies, too. :)

Lots of **positive, healing** vibes to all of you.

I have lots to do today. I have already made lunch and gotten one kid on the school bus. I also finished drying the load of laundry that didn't get all the way dry last night and started another load as the laundry is never ending in my house. I also have a mountain of dishes as my grandma made tonights dinner when she got home at seven last night and left all the dishes in the sink. I also have to find a crate in the garage and bring it in the living room for my puppy as she seems to be coming in heat so she can't be in the dog room with the boys. Dinner tonight is homemade stroganoff and biscuits or maybe if I feel like it I will make some rolls from scratch. I am about to go cuddle with DH for about thirty minutes and then up to feed the other three kiddos. I will pop in if at all possible today and may try to make my first chat since joining the board.

Wendy I am sending *Easy Weekend vibes * your way.

I'm in the same area as Kat and it is indeed a rather blustery day...but at least it's better than yesterday's gloom and drizzle, eh? Ellie's cold seems to be a bit better after a few days of antibiotics now. She's not quite as stuffy or congested and she hasn't been coughing yet today. She's got the runs pretty bad though, which always happens when she takes antibiotics. So far no real rash though (knock on wood), I'm changing her like every hour and keeping her coated with Butt Paste (LOVE that stuff!)

My sister and her gang on on their way down to my place from Maryland, should be arriving in like an hour and a half. My sis will watch Ellie while my older neice drives me to my appointment at 12:30 because today I get my....

LASER EYE SURGERY!! WHOOOOHOOO!!

No more glasses or contacts, I can't wait!! I'm legally blind without corrective lenses and I've worn glasses since 3rd grade. I cannot even imagine waking up and being able to see first thing in the morning. This is going to be life-changing for me, I am so excited! The procedure doesn't take very long and I'm not really nervous about it, but I'm still a little under the weather with my own sinus infection (courtesy of Ell, who likes to share!). I'm congested and coughing and blowing my nose constantly. I'm a couple doses behind Ellie on my own antibiotics, I hope to be feeling better soon...I am a little bit better than yesterday at least. I'm going to just down the cough medicine so that I don't have to cough while the laser is zapping my eye!!

Have a good day everyone, if I don't check in tomorrow it's just because maybe my eyes are a little too irritated still to sit in front of the computer screen...but it heals up quickly so if I'm not around tomorrow, then I will be around over the weekend! Take care :)

Chrissy, it's an Overeater's Anonymous meeting. I'm finally starting to get it! I'm really getting a lot of benefit from it.

Krista - Congratulations!!! I'm sooo jealous! I want Lasik!! I'm half blind (20/100 unassisted, with astigmatism). Can they do Lasik on people with astigmatism? It'll be awhile before we can afford it, though. Can I be nosey and ask how much you're being charged, and where you're going? We live close enough to each other, if you really like them and have a great experience, I wouldn't mind mentioning you as a referral when I can finally afford it.

The boys did so good at breakfast - 2 eggs each, 1 piece of toast each, a glass of milk, and a small fruit cup each. (We all had that, as I'm finally starting to portion my meals, rather than just eating the whole container of each food.) They ate it ALL - both of them did! And as a chaser, Nate ate some blue play-doh. lol That was fun - picking blue lumps out of Nate's teeth. Now that they're in their room, with Mary Poppins playing in the background, Aryc's lost his freaking head again. He's screaming at me, disobeying me, climbing on things I told him not to climb on (like yesterday when he snapped his bedframe in half because he was jumping). I don't get it. We'll figure it out, even if it includes a few time outs. I just put them down for their naps, but Aryc's screaming his little head off. ARG Makes Mommy want to scream, too. He said a minute ago that he doesn't have to listen to me because he doesn't want to because I'm "not mean like Daddy". I tried explaining very simply that I shouldn't have to be mean for him to obey me. He is to listen to me just because I'm Mommy, and listen to Daddy just because he's Daddy. I don't think he gets it. Dh is soooo harsh on them when he's home, that when he's gone, it's like the jailer's away, the inmates will play. Unfortunately, I'm the substitute jailer, and just like a sub teacher, they don't listen at all. Grrrr. I refuse to yell all the time, or to make threats. I want to teach them to respect others simply because other people are worthy of respect. And that starts with respecting them and their intelligence enough not to yell at them constantly, and not to make empty threats left and right (which is what I chided fil on yesterday - read all about it in the Desperate Housewives section).

'k. Long enough. Chat in 30 minutes! :)
