Good Morning and Happy Hump Day!! Can't believe it is Wednesday!! Where is the week going? Once the girls are off to school, I just have a couple of inside things to do. Then, I'm going outside to pull some weeds - I really have been trying to get to the flower beds around the patio, but it has been RAINING for a week straight. At least the ground is nice and soft, so the weeds will come right out. I have a hair appt. at 10:45, then it is off to school for recess. I will come home to start dinner, and continue with my weeds. We have nothing planned for tonight, so I will stick around and get some stuff done with dh. Thunderstorms are predicted for around dinner time, so I don't know how much we'll get done.....

I'll stop in often today....

Hey Sofia, I've used peanut butter before to get gum out of Natalie's hair... hopefully she won't do it again but you never know ;o)

Hi Ladies!! My day is going good. DH had to stay at the hospital because he was on call so I didn't want to go to bed alone and stayed up until midnight (BAD GIRL) So I sleep in today and now I am trying to catch up on the board. Today we might go swimming, if Hannah doesn't beg me to death and I decided not to. Having a heated pool is nice. LOL

Sofia, next time your kiddos get gum in their hair, rub it with peanut butter. It works like a charm.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day!!!

Thanks!! Did the peanut butter work? I've heard of that, but never tried it. I've thrown out clothes that the boys have gotten gum on before. I don't give any of them gum, but somehow, they manage to get it! My parents gave them gumball Easter Eggs this year. What were they thinking??

My girls have long curly hair and I'm getting so fed up with it I'm about to chop it short. They don't stand still when I try to do it in cute styles, I put bows/barrettes/ribbons in and they lose them (and Tessa cries when she loses them, she's so girly), and because it's thick and curly, it looks messy a lot. I might just chop it for the Summer, but then I think I'll regret it because it's well below their shoulders now and so pretty. Maybe I'll just french-braid it in 2 pony tails every day all Summer, if they'd only hold still!

And where they get the curly hair, I'm not sure, as mine and Michael's is pretty straight. I'm thinking it might have been the mailman, or the produce guy. You know--when he arranges that asparagus. . . ;)

Thanks Tami! Desiree gave me the tip! I'll try it next time. . . How come I'm the last Dummy Mommy to know these things?

I know how you feel with your hubby on call in the hospital overnight. BTDT! Mine works overnight tomorrow night! I never sleep well when he's gone.

Enjoy your heated pool for me and have a great day!

Sofia

asparagus LOL

Peanut butter works like a charm... as for the clothes, try freezing them first, then scraping it off. I remember my mom doing that and it worked pretty well.

I need to cut my kids' hair too for summer. I thought Natalie was going to let hers grow out like a real ballerina's LOL, but now she's changed her mind and wants it cut.

Tami, where in Washington are you again? Is it in the northwest area, Seattle-ish? Are you having hot weather there as well? Im not liking this lol. I know I complained all winter about how cold and rainy it is, but now I cant sleep at night. LOL. How long are you going to be there? We'll have to get together sometime this summer!

Good Afternoon. I have spent the morning preparing our dinner ( chili in the crock pot), making beds and doing some laundry. I plan to spend some time out in the backyard this afternoon with my youngest son, Alec. When My older two kids get off the bus, I will get them a snack and then it's time to head off to my son's baseball game. (he is on the 10 year old traveling leauge for our town.)We won't be home until late, that is why I prepared dinner now. ;)
I wish I was a little more motivated today. It is beautiful outside and I just feel kind of blah.

I hope all of you have a wonderful afternoon/evening.

Well, not morning no more...lol, so good afternoon to everyone. I'm in a good mood, the air conditioning guy didn't show up yesterday but he did today and got the AC going...yay...yay...(sigh), not much to do today, going to wait on lunch, I have an appointment at 1:15pm, so DS and Me we'll do lunch after, not much to do, I just have to start packing for the trip tomorrow, and late tonight wait for DH to call from work so he can tell me what he wants to pack, and what else he needs, that way when he gets home tomorrow, which will be after lunch, we are ready to put stuff in the car and go, I'm so glad we're going out of town, I think we need it.

Sofi just to answer your questions. We farm about 1000 acers, with corn and soybeans, not the edable kind. We raise feeder cattle, about 900 per year. We farm with my dh's 3 brothers, they each have thier own land but we share machinery. It seems like everyone kinda lets my dh do most of the work, because they know that he will do it if they don't. As far as rock picking the boys are really excited about it, but then we have only done it 2 afternoons this year yet, only about a month left :o( !! Hope everyone has a great rest of the day!
