Good Morning, girls!! Another beautiful day here, in the midwest. It is going to be low 70's and sunny, until this evening when it may rain. Perfect!! The girls have to be on the bus in 45 mins, then around 10 I will meet my SIL for shopping and lunch. Otherwise, nothing big to do around here.
How about the rest of you girls......
Hugs,
Wendy

I'm going to work on another flower bed, hoping to wind up this huge landscaping project of mine. Then maybe go to the park with SIL and all respective kids. Then shower and go to my counseling session tonight. Should be interesting for sure.

Good morning hump day ladies.
The kids were up at 6:30am UGH I set my alarm for 6:40 to get some time to myself and they beat me to it
Morning, ladies! The day's gone good so far. Got up at 5:30 and made coffee for dh, stretched, and was on the treadmill by 6:00. Got in 30 minutes and then got my shower. I hope to work in my pilates and weights later. I need to work with the twins on reading and I have a little bit of cleaning to do - mop the kitchen, vacuum the steps, a load or 2 of laundry.
I also have to make a decision about what to get Nikki for her birthday. It's on the 19th and if I have to order something, I'm going to have to do it now. She has an American Girl Today doll and now she wants the doll of the year, Jess. I just can't make up my mind. They're so expensive, but that isn't a problem if I'm convinced she'll play with it, and I really don't know what else to get her. She's had a GREAT year in school. She's gotten wonderful grades and been such a great big sister, she deserves it and more, really. I'm also considering a magazine rack for her room and a DVD player for her room. I don't know what to do but I'd better be figuring it out.

I agree, that does stink, Mel. Siblings should be allowed at a function like that. Sheesh - its not a formal dinner! Anyhow, have fun with your mom.

That is a hard decision, Erin. How old is Nikki going to be? We just Katie her first American Girl doll for her last birthday, when she turned 9. She had really expressed an interest, so we thought, o.k. She loves her Nellie doll, and truly takes care of it. Katie also got a CD player for Christmas, from Santa. It is a personal CD player, which she just LOVES! I saw at Toys 'R Us, that there is a pillow, with a plug that you can replace the headphones with the pillow. Then, she can lay on the pillow and read and will be more comfortable. Kinda cute, hey? Anyhow, let me know what you decide.....

Too bad I sold all of it on ebay. Should have kept it.
Try going on Ebay and buying it, might be cheaper.
Good morning, going out soon to check out investment properties, not what I want to do today, but what I need to do. Mel Skyler has a field trip tomorrow that I can not go to because Eli can not attend. I have a hard time going to them for lack of care for Eli. The really stupid thing is the school complains all the time about needing more parents to help...DUH! Most moms have younger siblings at home and can not go if taking them is not an option. I think the policy stinks! Got to run.
Nikki actually got her first American Girl doll the Christmas she was 6. She's super responsible for her age. She's 8 May 19th. Her sister, Jenny, is almost 6 and definitely not ready to have one of her own. Jess, the Am. Girl of year, bears a strong resemblance to Jenny, and Nikki would then have two, one to play with herself and one to share with little sis. This way I know it's taken care of but Jenny can still play. Hmmmm. I think I'm talking myself into it.
When I was little I loved Barbies. I don't know why I can't get my girls into them! It would be a lot less expensive!

They started work on my basement a little while ago!! YEY!! I've waited for this for almost 6 years, when we had the house built! They're bringing supplies down through the outer basement door, which is below ground level down some steps outside. I'm glad they're not tracking into the upstairs. They have classic rock playing down there, and I hear an electric something already buzzing. . . Wonder what it's going to be like to have 5 strange men in my house every day? ;)
Saturday is my oldest son Matthew's First Holy Communion. This is a big deal for Catholics. We have a luncheon reserved for extended family to celebrate after at a restaurant. My BIL (Michael's brother/Matthew's godfather), his wife & 3 kids are coming in from out of state Friday to stay overnight with us here. Michael wants to barbecue for them Friday night, and have the rest of his family over. I'm going to have to keep the kids out of the basement, which won't be easy. Then next weekend is their DD's First Communion, so we're going away for that. Busy exciting weekend ahead!!
My cats are totally freaked out, because they're used to hanging out in the basement. They ran up to our room & I'm sure are under the bed, LOL! Poor little babies!
Justin is extremely curious about what they're doing in the basement with the "cool" noises. It's all I can do to keep him up on the main level. And I did the girls' hair in 2 french braids each today. Their hair is getting pretty long. The braids look cute, but it won't happen often, because getting them to hold still is a nightmare. Once I had Tessa's done, I just had to do Jenna's to match. That's how corny I am, LOL! And you know what's even cornier? I put my own hair back in 1 french braid today. I was on a Braid Roll.
It's a gorgeous day here today. I just LOVE this time of year!! Michael's at work, Matthew's at school, Justin is soon to be at school, and I'm going to have to "gear up" and take the girls grocery shopping with me to buy food for the weekend. Have I ever mentioned how much I hate grocery shopping, especially with kids??
Hope everyone is having a great day!

We had our basement finished about a year ago and it's been invaluable! It was weird having men in our house, but the company we used was made up of firefighters!! OMG! Firefighters it toolbelts?! Totally dreamy. And I felt very secure having them here, knowing what there second job was. Really a bunch of nice guys.
