Comebacks for the -Non-Supportive- ?

I've been an SAHM for 11 yrs +. Since my oldest was born.
I have 2 & they're both now in 3rd & 5th grades.
More & more particular members of my family have made sarcastic reference to working.
I see some advice from other SAHMs who've experienced such & perhaps - taken care of the remarks. I know I may receive some on Xmas Eve so I want to be prepared. Thanks!

I would say something to the fact that you get to spend a lot of time with your children whereas the working parents do not. :)
When I was working there was a lot of non support for SAHMs. In fact, my manager made it a point to remind me how she only was given six weeks maternity leave before she had to return to work and she did that with all three of her kids.
My husband wanted me to point out the fact that he makes good money and I don't have to work if I don't want to. Everyone else that I worked with was in the position where they had to work whether they had kids or not. So ha.
My family and my friends are all very supportive of my decision to be a SAHM. In fact, my mom was disappointed when I went back to work and was very thrilled when I decided to stay home again. Just don't let it get to you. Good luck and Merry Christmas!
*Sometimes a jealous heart, shows it's self out of an sarcastic mouth.*
If you, your DH and your children are happy with the way you have chosen to live....then who else really matters.
~I am not sure what I would say to them, due to saying anything....will not change their oponion?
Thanks esp for the
Jealous Heart / Sarcastic Mouth saying.
I'm going to remember it & use it.
Yes, I'm blessed & that may well be the reason certain people criticize......
If anymore great comebacks are thought of - send em my way!!!!!
(The big family dinner is on Xmas Eve & is when most likely I'd hear something - but I can always use comebacks on other occasions!)
