community leader.....

I am new to this board but not new to ivillage. I saw the "be a leader" link at the top of the page and thought, oh, what the heck, why not fill out the application?
It asks for a specific board that I'd like to be the leader of, so since this is my favorite board, I just entered the name of it.
There's no guarantee I'd ever get it. Even at this moment it's only a possibility. However, I know I'm new to this board (at least new to contributing to it) and was wondering if this is way overstepping my bounds as a new member.
I would happily withdraw my application if there are a lot of you think this is unacceptable since I know you all know each other better than I know you...
That being said, I do think I would make a great community leader if you would have me and I'd love to be an ongoing major contributor. Being a stay at home mom has defined my life for the past couple of years and nothing I've ever done before (including getting my degree, doing mortgages, and writing "books") has ever compared to the satisfaction and sense of fulfillment I've had being a stay at home mom.
I will completely understand if you'd prefer to get to know me better first.
I would greatly appreciate your feedback.
Thanks so much!
