What age did you let your kids help you with cooking? What are some favorite things for the kids to cook?

Mine r 2 & 4 and both like to "help" in the kitchen. If u can stand extra mess, they can help by mixing and pouring. One fave is tortilla pizza. Get flour tortillas, spread w/ pizza sauce, top w/ you preferred amt of cheese and fave toppings. We like ham, pepperoni and gr bell pepper (i use a vegetable peeler to make thin strips). The kids can do most to all of these steps. Put in oven (on cookie sheets) at 375 for 8-9 minutes. HTH! Kris

My girls are 10 and 7 and have been helping in the kitchen for a very long time.

Don't get me wrong, I cook with the girls (I will cook with Brian too but I figure 12 months is a little young!). I only let them cook with me if I have a LOT of patience that day though! Staying clean is NOT one of their virtues!
