could you be the doctor?

This is a funny story that my DH told me about:
A couple brought their 15 month old into the ER screaming and crying. The doctor had to figure out what was wrong with the baby. The parents said that they were eating dinner and everything was fine. They had spagetti and bread for dinner with ice cream for dessert. The baby just started wailing, kicking and screaming on the floor. The parents tried to console her, but after 10 minutes, she calmed down. But since it was such a terrible fit, they decided to go the ER.
Can you diagnose this 15 month old? What would you use to diagnose her (lab work, CT scan, MRI)?

Answer will come soon.

Have fun!

LOL! More ice cream! Well, I dunno, but my DH treated a kid once who wouldn't stop crying because her shoes were too tight. Once he took her shoes off, she calmed down right away. And that is an absolutely true story!!

Would I be cheating to run this by Michael? ;)

I would have to diagnose her with Temper Fits as she's approaching that 2 year-old mark. I live with temper fits daily. Maybe Michael should run lab work, CT scans and an MRI on his own daughters to cure them of their fits! I would venture to guess that these are first time parents who are hyper and over-reactive.

Looking forward to hearing the answer!

I think she had a brain freeze from the ice cream and would use more ice cream to test the theory.

Thats right!! She had her first ice cream headache and didn't know what it was. They did a CT scan and blood test to make sure she was fine. POOR BABY!!! Of course they were on Medicaid so didn't have to worry about the cost of the ER visit. The doctor thought it was a seizure until he heard more about it through the visit.
