Darn cats...HELP!

Good afternoon ladies,
Ok I admit I am not a big cat fan. Seems that there is a stray cat problem in the neighborhood. Garbage pickup is tomorrow and dh took some garbage out last night (BIG MISTAKE!) but we didnt want it smelling up the house lol. The garbage was double bagged using some black thick construction bags. This morning it was ripped open and the leftover turkey carcass on the backyard lawn! The cats were also sitting there, four of them! I let my dogs out and the cats didnt even barge....grrr!!!
Last weekend one of the cats was in d's stroller!
I wish I could get rid of them but I dont want to do anything like poisioning them.
Ideas, suggestions please??

Tia!

I'm a cat lover! ;) The only thing I can think of is to spray them with the hose when you see them. That might give them a hint! I hope someone else can be of more help.

Thanks Chrissy!
I am an animal lover too! It just frightens me that they dont get scared off easily and they fact that they hiss when we come outside scares me even more because I have a baby and I dont want any cats to attack us.

my mom used to have a wild cat/stray cat problem as well. Even spraying them with water didn't scare them off. There is some herbal type thing you can put on the ground that repels them, I forget what it is, but I'm sure you can google options. It worked to a point, but didn't get rid of them.

Eventually what they did was call the SPCA, and they came out and placed cages around the yard and caught them. When there was a cat in the cage, they called spca, and they came and took them. To be honest, I don't if they put them down or just relocated them. They weren't the kind of cats that could be adopted out or anything.

good luck!

If you know for sure that they are strays, I think you should call animal control. They sound mean, and they are just going to keep reproducing. :( That sux! I did LOL at them stealing the turkey carcas though.

I would call the humane society and have them picked up.
They can set traps for the cats. I hope that could take care of the problem you are having.
I really wish people would keep their animals inside or have them fixed.

I would call the animal control or ASPCA is your area and see what they can do to help.
