does he like bowling, mini-golfing, laser tag, pool?

There are alot of things you could do within that time frame. I suck at planning things!!!! Go for a massage, hhmmm, he might not like that though! What did you guys do when you were first dating? What fun things stand out? You could do a re-enactment perhaps, of one of the special things you liked doing together. Or rent a cheesy motel for 2 hours, and have fun...or sleep! Sorry, I had to keep my mind in the gutter, it's more comfortable there!!!!

Actually, I like the idea that you already had - going to a cute cafe and having a glass of wine (I'm not much of a beer drinker) - I could do that every week and never get tired of it!

Are you into any sports? My husband and I played softball a lot before we had kids, so I wouldn't mind going to the batting cages every now and then. It's not romantic, but it's fun. He likes to play golf and is always trying to get me to go to the driving range with him - so far I have not been interested, but I just might have to do it once just to be nice. Are there any nice parks near you - you also could find a nice place to go walk.

I still like your cafe idea the best! Good luck!

Thanks..

The Cafe is really adorable a cute downtown cafe. It is called the "Moonstruck Cafe" just the name is enough to apeal to me. They have recently started selling alcoholic beverages and have some great little outdoor tables.

I love the park idea to..you gave me an idea to have an outdoor picnic from that..you of course can not have alcohol in the local parks so I thought...hey how about a cute outdoor picnic with wine and crackers and cheese.

I also love the batting cages idea..we have one of those and my Dh has always wanted to go, this will give him an excuse to go!

Thanks for the ideas!

Let's see - a walk in the park, a drive to a nearby town for window shopping and a drink, a picnic in the park complete w/blanket and extras, a movie, how close to Galveston are you? that's always an interesting place to go!!

Sounds fun though - enjoy planning it all.

That is a great idea to date like that.
If my husband were home more and not 3 weeks at a time, we would do this as well.
I think all the suggestions that were given are great. I really do not have any that were not already said.
Have fun on your date :)

Thanks for the ideas! You gave me another idea..we have a really cute town with all of these row house shops, it has a victorian style resturant that keep the fireplace going...

We've never been and I forgot about it! Thanks so much!

Heheheh I had the song "Memories" playing in my head when I read your post. Let's see well me and DH are religious foot ball watchers, so Monday night its all us, we just sit together on the couch. (befor baby) Every month we would save up and go to a very fancy restraunt in town, we had a wonderful time, pay extra to the neighbor to watch untill the next morning too, woohoo, anyway but u can do it in 2 hours, its nice to feel beautiful, get dressed up and share some wine and adult conversation (more than can you change a diaper and "no I have changed five times b/c of spitup mishaps, lol). See what the local college has going on in way of percusion concerts, there usually for free and you can take a nice blankey and snuggle to relaxing music. Have fun.
