really neat for the kids and their "favorite man". Every spring they have a favorite man breakfast. The kids each get to bring their dad, grandfather, uncle, neighbor or brother. Then they get to have a special breakfast with them, and then they all go play on the playground. Usually the teachers have the kiddos write something special about their favorite man. Katie's teacher also had them make paper ties to wear while they eat together. I can't wait for dh to find out about that. He is an electrician, so he will have quite the look going this a.m., in his t-shirt, jeans, baseball hat and paper tie! LOL! Would love to be a fly on the wall! Anyhow, they just left, and Katie was sooooo excited. She was even giving him instructions on the quickest route to school. Very, very cute.

Thanks for letting me share.

I think that is such a cute idea!!
I might have to suggest that to the school Andrew goes to. They never do anyhting for the das or men period which is a sad thing.
Hope your dh has a good time.

I agree, Mel. It is usually the moms who spend all of their time at the school, participating, because the daddies can't take time off of work. My dh would love to be able to go on field trips with the girls and their classes, but because he is the only one working, he just can't justify it. So, Katie couldn't wait to take her daddy with her to school.

Wendy, That is such a neat idea. I hope your dh had fun. Let us know how it went. I hope someone was able to take pictures of the men wearing those paper ties.
