Hi

Anyone here have opinions on the best Diaper rash creams? My daughter constantly has them, they come and go. I went to a health food/ herbal product store, and they gave me this stuff that swears it'll clear it right up, but it seems to only make it worse. There's a lot out there, I know, but I need something that will keep working.

Thanks!

Namaste'

I used CORONA bag balm for my daughter. It is in the yellow tube. Actually, its not diaper rash cream, it will say "For horses, small animals and pets" It is safe though cuz her DR. told me to use it. Don't buy the bag balm in the green can, its worthless. Corona works because it is really thick and has an antiseptic in it too. my dd bottom would get red and raw because her pees and poops were so acidic, and she had diarreah alot. I use generic desitin (Kmart brand) for my younger one. Bag balm doesn't work for her.

Hi!

I want to thank everyone for their advice.

I bought a creme Called "Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula, and it worked in like a day.

It smells really good too.

Brightest Blessings

another thing you can try that my ds ped recomended when he had a killer rash that was eating his poor little red baboon butt all up. Malox just use a little oral syringe to squirt some on the bottom and then let it dry for a few mins my ds love getting to run around the bathroom naked a few times a day. once the malox is dry then diaper as usual. I also bought some cloth training pants on sale a while back and I would double them up and let him wear them for a little while during the day to air him out a little. It worked like a charm in about two days he was happy as could be.

For a really BAD rash, my Dr. recommended the following : equal parts A&D ointment, 1% hydrocortozone cream, lotrimin, and fruit flavored Maloxx (don't use mint- it will sting). If the rash has broken the skin, add neosporin ointment. Guess what? It totally works! It can be a costly mix, but well worth it when you see how quicly the rash will clear.

dont know if anyone has posted this or not, but I have had excellent results with Bag Balm (Green tin) found in the pet dept at Wal-Mart. This was recommended by our pediatrician and works great! It's a little sticky, but I also use it on my rough dry hands at night and put gloves on while I sleep. It clears diaper rash up faster than anything else I have tried for 3 kids over an 8 yr period of diapers! Ann

I was going to mention baby wipes also. I used to buy whatever was cheap as long as they didn't have perfume. When my oldest was about 18 months I tried huggies supreme care, they don't have perfume or alcohol (most brands have alcohol.) The amount of her rashes decreased dramaticaly and I used less because they wiped away more of the mess, so it was worth paying a little extra money. Glad the palmers worked though.
