We always stick to the BRAT diet.B=bananas R=rice A-applesauce T=toast. They are considered "binding" foods and all our kids love them all so it helps keep down on accidents. As far as medicines go I'm not sure what to tell you..sorry.
They do have Childrens Kaopectate for kids, but you may want to check with the pharmacist on the dosage. brat diet is best and also Pedialite. Most of these things have to run their course. If he is really sick can you do a temporary pull up? Trish :)
one thing that we always do is to restrict all fluids for at least an hour afterwards. It's ok to eat, but nothing to drink. This always seems to help. After all signs of diarreah have stopped, you can slowly re-hydrate him: 1 teaspoon of water or pedialyte every 15 minutes for an hour, then double it the next hour. Then you can increase it slowly. I hope he feels better soon!
