as fruit?

It has been a horrible week. And to top it off, I got my period early (I know, better early than not at all), it is heavy and painful. My doctor is on maternity leave and the fill in won't prescribe anything heavier than motrin. Trust me, motrin doesn't do it!

So, I went to Costco today and the jar of chocolate covered raisins just jumped into the cart (along with the cashews). I am trying to convince myself that at least there is a fruit in it! LOL

I don't know if they count as fruit, but at least they'll keep you regular :o)

Do you use a heating pad? I've always had severe cramps, and if I take my meds in conjunction with the heating pad it usually keeps it bearable.

hope you feel better soon!

Uggh. I am fixing to be in the same boat as you. I have found that if I exercise every day right up to when I am fixing to start, that I have much less cramping. I have also heard not to drink any caffeine. or hot drinks. This seems to work for me. I couldn't live withought my chocalate binge though..lol. Hope you feel better soon!

I just remembered something that might help you in the future...

If you eat a lot of beef, it can cause you to have worse cramps (because of the hormones that are pumped into the cows). I've found that if I cut out beef the week before & the week of AF, it reduces the cramps drastically.
