Does anyone like/listen to Dr. Laura?

Just curious if anyone else here is a listener of Dr. Laura. She is very blunt and I think that kind of bothers me about her, but I do enjoy listening to her program and have read a few of her books since I have been down in AZ that have helped me a lot. I have quickly become a fan. Anyone else listen to her on the radio?

I am not a current listener of Dr. Laura, but I used to listen to her. I think she says a lot that makes sense. I like that she is pro SAHM, pro family etc. That said, she can be pretty abrasive and I know that turns a lot of people off.

Umm, I had a good impression of her from a fellow board member also until my dh came home irritated with one of her rants, lol. She had said that if a husband moves his wife and family away from her family for his career or "selfish" purposes, 9 times out of 10 he is an abuser or will one day beat her. 9 times out of 10?! Needless to say, this was rather insulting to him, lol. I suppose we're supposed to be living in BFE making less half of what we are just so I can be around my nutty family??? It's one thing to say that 9 times out of 10 a beater will move his wife away from her support system, quite another to say that EVERY man who moves his wife away from her family will beat her. That's just nuts. But if you can overlook the occasional misguided and arrogant statement like that, I'm sure she's helpful or at least entertaining.

I've never listened to her, but I get the feeling that it's all or nothing with people who like/dislike her.
I don't listen to her..
She definitely can be very harsh on people and I can't agree with everything that she says, but I do like listening to her program. She is very pro-family and encouraging to SAHMs like us. I read "The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands" and "The Proper Care and Feeding of Marriage" over the last few weeks (they actually took me about 2-3 days each to read). I found the advice to be very encouraging when it comes to taking care of your husband and helping your marriage. DH is even going to read "The Proper Care and Feeding of Marriage".
Anywayz, I was just curious . . . .
